Mayo, I want to say thank you to you.
Our little pixie will be over the moon to see you birthday greeting to her. You see, she is in a different timezone to most here and is sad that she always misses everything.

Okay, so I have updated Ye Olde LJ with the entire story and some pics, like of x rays and stuff.
So first, after I lost Trisky, there was the thing with my X ray. For anyone not wishing to click on the link, here's what happened. I get a call from the ER Monday about the x ray, but you know, I'm not picking up the damn phone so I'm like, whatever. Tuesday, nothing. Then on Wednesday I go out with my cousin Chrissie and we get our hair done (mine in red streaks all over the place, which was awesome for the first few hours until I washed it and now they are brown streaks,) and when I get home I have another call from the ER.
Well the lady I spoke to was really nice, but she was like, "Well, there is something on your x ray that we're sure is not a bone lesion, it's probably an artifact, but we have to follow it up to make sure." An artifact is like the medical way of saying "a mistake in the x ray." But just hearing 'bone lesion" over the phone, which is what I heard about Trisky on Friday, was like, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE EFFING KIDDING ME. So I told my parents because I had the appointment with the orthopedist on tuesday coming up (that's this coming tuesday,) and my Da totally freaked out. So that kind of sucked, and that's been hanging over my head for a while.
Then while I was out today with Havoc at the vets (another long story,) unbeknownst to me, my Da went to the ER, got my x rays (I guess he's allowed to do that because he's next of kin?) and took them to his doctor who took him in right away to look at them. Then that doctor told my Dad that there was nothing to worry about concerning my x rays (which I more or less knew, but it's still good to hear,) but that I still needed to follow up with an orthopedist because of the usual structural problems I still have (which I also already knew.) But anyway, that was a good thing!
And here is my x ray, look at those sexy bones!
Then there was the thing with my crow, Havoc, last night. Gah! This is how that went.
Okay, so my crow Lohi'au, right? Otherwise known as Havoc, because no one wants to either spell or pronounce Lohi'au? And because havoc is what he causes, naturally. Well, he figured out how to work all the locks on his cage ages ago, so since around summertime I've resorted to just putting a bungee cord across the doors to keep him in. He's been trying to work them out for months. Last night he simply bit through the cord. Oh, he didn't get out or anything. Instead he chewed through the cord, dragged the entire works into his cage, and went for it. Around 1 AM, right before I was going to bed, I went to give him some food for the morning so he wouldn't scream at sunrise, and I found the chewed up cord. And only one of the metal hooks. I tore the cage apart looking for the other metal hook and couldn't find it. So consequently I spent most of the night trying to get to sleep, and when I managed to sleep, having dreams about finding him dead in the morning.
First thing this morning I took him down to work for an x ray.We put Havoc in a box and set him on the x ray table. The first in the break from bad news! No metal hook inside my crow! I have no idea where the damned thing got to--I can imagine and only hope that I threw it away with the newspapers last night while panicking--but it's not inside of my crow and that is a good thing.

Shoots, I spent most of my days riding a bicycle. (See when we were kids, because "bike" had such rude connotations, you wanted to specify that you had a bicycle.) My cousins and I, some days that's all we did. We would create our games around riding our bicycles everywhere. We were never indoors.
