hope you're kicking back and relaxing whenever you can. It's a world full of upheavals at the moment it seems,personal, domestic and international, and I think you need to take a bit of time out sometimes to care for yourself so that you can then be effective in whatever way you feel you can. Sometimes things can seem overwhelming, but take it a little at a time, you make a start, and that is often the hardest part.

did you know that the estimate the chance of having the same fingerprint as another person is about 1 in 6.4 billion? Which is actually about the same number as people on earth, so therefore it is statistically possible that each of us has another person somewhere in the world with the same prints as us. Interesting thought, and it has also never actually been proven that fingerprints are unique anyway, they thought snowflakes were too, until a person found an identical pair in a snowstorm, and that's a valuable use for research funds!

Logan update, he is doing a little better today. He had a setback yesterday, possibly a small seizure, and wouldn't eat or drink, but he's doing both today and seems to be steadier.
Anon at 1:00, I think more people notice than you might think, just don't know what to do. It's like the Russian scares from the 50's through the 80's, when people built bomb shelters and lived in fear of an attack. The truth is our world has been on the verge many times, and about all we can hope for is that the powers that be will either be scared enough themselves to pull back, or if it becomes bad enough, people will unite to stop it.
It is sad to read about Farrah. She was sick for so long, and I read an article with her not long ago where she said "Don't count me out yet". She was a fighter to the end.

10:49, it wouldn't necessarily, but as he was aquitted, and settled out of court on the other, as BC said the truth of it all may never be known, he was most likely a very disturbed individual, how extensive that was is now likely to remain unknown.
however the impact he made during his almost 40 year career on people's lives and on the face of music can't be ignored either
and that is I think what people tend to mourn, not the loss of the man himself as much as that something so influential in their lives is over. It's a reminder of our own mortality, when someone seemingly larger than life dies.

it's always strange to me to see people I grew up watching on TV now, looking old or passing away. It's like they don't age in your mind and it's a shock to have to accept that so much time has really passed.
It is like part of your past has changed somehow as well
you should see a physio, chiropractors can be so variable in how skilled they actually are
A physio can give you exercises to work on to strengthen your muscles to properly align your posture and support your skeleton, rather than just a quick manipulation and let you go.
BC, today was actually a nice warm day in the city. Everything was rather peachy keen until all the bad news started to fill the air waves. It was a bitter sweet day I guess. Have you seen a chiropractor? Maybe that could help with your pain?

I have some bets that Eric and Sookie will hook up, but Alan Ball is definitely taking the series to something more different than the novels since it's just loosely based, so in my opinion, it could go either way.

I spent today out and about at estate sales. While I only bought one book, yes really only one, it was fun to go through the houses. One in particular was a blast from the past. It was very 1970’s down to the shag rug. Oh Lord, shag rugs. I remember when I was very young my mom and dad bought one. It was just the height of fashion. And one of my chores was to rake it. Okay, I’m not making this up. Seriously the damn thing had to be raked. It was avocado green. I’m cringing right now thinking about it. And it came with a special rug rake because after it was walked on for a bit it had to be “fluffed’ back up and that was done with the rake. Tell me, why did people think having a rug that had to be raked was cool? Anyway, the estate sale house had a shag rug, those plastic shredded ball light fixtures and a bar in the downstairs family room. Oh and an orange metal fireplace. Wow, it was so dated and yet, so damn cool. And the closets were filled with funky 1970’s clothes. Yep, there was even a leisure suit. Okay, I’m sure you don’t remember any of this shit but you’ve probably seen pictures. Honestly I was expecting to walk into one of the rooms and find the “Hang In There Baby” poster. Once again you probably don’t know what I’m talking about but it’s a poster with a kitten hanging from a bar. But alas, I didn’t find one. LOL
You know it’s weird but seeing all this shit, while fun in some ways, made me kinda sad. I could just imagine the people who had lived there and I wondered why they hadn’t changed with the times. It was like they never got out of the 70’s. Didn’t they move on to the 80’s and 90’s? I will be the first to admit that change often scares the shit out of me. Maybe they were like that too. But then I thought that perhaps that time period was a happy one for them so they never moved on. I know people will say that change is good and that it’s bad to be stuck in the past but what if the past made you happy? Why should you change? Does it hurt anyone else if you still have an avocado rotary phone? So what if you have shag rug? I think sometime people get rid of the things they love because they feel they have to change. Change can be good but not always. Okay this in no way means I wish I still had a shag rug I’d have to rake, cause believe me I don’t. But there are things in my house that are considered obsolete that I wouldn’t give up for anything. Like my Juke Box which plays 45 rpm records. Some thing are just too cool to let go of and the memories are too good. Besides lots of the old stuff is now considered “retro” and so once again is deemed “cool”. And that makes me happy. Well, mostly happy but believe me if I never see a rug rake again, that will be just fine.
Mayo, keep the things in your life that make you happy and never give them up because of what others think. It’s your life and it should be filled with the things that bring a smile to your face. That’s what I’m doing. Yeah, so my original Star Wars poster doesn’t exactly fit in with my early 1900’s carved rocking chair. So what? I like them both. And besides someday when I’m gone my kids will probably have an estate sale and my weird, ecliptic house will give someone else a few simile when they try to figure out just why the hell I had all that shit.
My things, strange as they are, make me happy. I think that’s just how a home should be. You should surround yourself with what you like. Forget that magazine designer shit. Yeah, I totally am embracing my inner geek/freak and I like it.

I hope his three children will be well cared for, loved and nurtured.
Was he an odd individual? Certainly.
Was he disturbed man? Probably.
Was he a child molester? There is no evidence of that. He was never convicted of that crime, and sadly; we probably will never know what really happened.
Think about Phil Spectre who is now a convicted murderer (serving 19 years to life for second degree murder).
That does not take away what he did for music. Coming up with the wall of sound not to mention all the wonderful music he produced and the songs he wrote.
It's also so sad about Farrah. She was so brave and so hopeful right up until the end.
I hope Farrah's son is able to attend her funeral.
Ed McMahon was another hopeful and positive person. Always smiling and it seemed as though he never took himself too seriously.
May they all rest in peace.
Bob's dog too. That's such a horrible thing to have happen. And, I can't imagine how hard the not knowing what happened to his beloved fur baby/friend is. It's sad enough losing a pet; but, the not knowing exactly what happened to his beloved friend/fur baby... that must be awful for him.

I had a well, I don't know what kinda thought it was, but catching up I was thinking, I Love book stores. (and music and art stores.., possibilities.) But books are like a willing hidding place. If you're fond of reading, I mean. (unless we're talking high school and some of the crap they force upon you is like a small but fully functioning prison.) And book stores are like haven's for a million and one different worlds -to hide in (or experience). And I don't know why, but it just make me think: Saintly, keeper of books. Makes you seem safer or something.
And yea, I am seriously tired! Shouldn't have, so ironically, stayed up reading till about 7AM this morn. Yea. ha. ;p I need sleep. Or coffee. But then drinking coffee so late in the evenning also makes for strange thoughts and coversation! SO... Yea. Ergo, hope you don't float away, or Burn up? You have crazaa weather over there loves. I'm confused about that one! Pick one, eh?? Sounds like my ground! Back n forth, back n forth. It's kinda sickening! ;p Like we're all going through the fricken flu or something. And theres no cure!

and though I absolutely love to read I didn't read one set book in high school. I found if you read the first and last page of a chapter, and ask some one else you can fake it pretty well.
Funny thing was, I read them all after I finished, and they were all good - except maybe for Regency Buck, never enjoyed that one. I just have an incredible stubborn streak if someone tells me what I have to read, and worse still, how much of it I should be reading at a time.

She's so excited about being able to see KISS at Voodoo!!!! And, she'll also get to see The Flaming Lips again! They were really incredible a few years ago!

Holy crap what a day. Okay if you could hear my voice you would know I’m not saying this in the vein of “wow it was awesome”. Rather I’m saying it with more of a “why did I bother to get out of bed” reflection in my tone. Yep, it was that kind of day. So, now I just realized until I actually go to sleep it ain’t truly gonna be over. I just had to go upstairs and turn off a radio that turned itself on. I am the only one here and the fucker just turned itself on. This is the kind of shit that’s been happening all day. My car developed a mind of it’s own and started rolling the windows up and down without my permission, my phone had a seizure, the fridge decided to knock down all the bottles and jars on the shelves and in the process spilled pickle juice everywhere…believe me the list goes on and on. So I’m wondering if I should take all these things personally or just chalk it put to a disturbance in the Force. (Okay the radio really did unnerve me just now but then it was Taylor Swift singing and that unnerves me anyway). I don’t know what is going on. Maybe my pissy mood from last night got me cosmically smacked. All I know is that I’m not going to complain about my boring life again anytime soon cause I can’t take another day like this one. Oh I forgot, I went to the bank this morning to make a deposit and their computer couldn’t find my account. Seriously it was like I’d been erased. Which was kinda funny to the bank employees because they know I have 8 different accounts. And yes, I did show up minutes later but still…WTF?
Truth be known, I’m wondering if I should even be touching this computer right now. I’m half expecting it to suddenly show me the blue screen of death. That’s what my TV did. Yep, the satellite for it isn’t working. I think I have a black rain cloud over my head. So I’m gonna just say goodnight, and read some more of my Joe Hill book. Hell, after today I just might treat myself and finish the damn thing.
