You startled me
In not so much your words,
But your approach.
It was fast
And filled my head
With nonsense words
And warmth
When you weren’t there.
So, I went under
And swallowed
The surge. And above
My head is swirling water.
My hand slapping at the surface,
Desperate for structure
Steep stone. Then
My fingers finding rooted edge
Holding ground,
Finally. Almost out of breath
When I pulled myself up.
Entwined in mine, fingers
Not rooted mass, but flesh.
That took the shape
Of mysteries ability
To suddenly deliver me
Upon the edge was all
That I was meant to be.

Ooooh, those lyrics are nice, Smoke!

Carrie, you're gonna do what with my flip flop? I don't even know what that means diaper dive or something. You won't last in the humidity anyways. You will have no time to smack me and even if you do, you're hands will be so sweaty that they won't even be able to hold the flip flop. It will just fly out of your hands into the never never.

It was in the 80's here today. I was sick and I had to drive dude to the doctor an hour away so I just sat in the car and waited on him. I fell asleep with the windows rolled up and when I woke up I thought I was gonna choke.

O_O

At least it wasn't August because, ummmm, I'd have melted. O_o

It's infuriating that they're not and jurors don't get to hear anything about past crimes.

I want ice cream so bad right now.

Bwahhahahaha! That was freakin' hilarious! He gets that from you, ya know? Those impressions? Jules knows what I'm talking about! Hahaha! LHM is just like his Aunt Solly! He can do a Gerard like nobody's business. And when he does the Frank, he slings his air guitar around his neck. Bwah!

Well, I guess I better go get a shower and sit down with him. Will it be Danny Phantom? Or Family Guy? Or Ben 10?

Later guys!

Hope everyone has a nice rest of the night and a lovely Friday!

Nite, Smoke! Sweet Dreams! Hope you are all better tomorrow because we gotta go see Last House on the Left tomorrow night. Good times.

Jules, I'm guessing you don't have any ice cream.

Definitely go for Family Guy. :) Have a great night!

Anonymous said...

Heehee, I have an ice cream bar. I really shouldn't. I've been eating so badly lately and stress eating. I need to stop that.

sdock10 said...

But...you've been really stressed, so I think you deserve a reward. Indulge. Eat the ice cream bar. Be the ice cream bar.

I think I'm gonna go attempt to find something on TV that's even lamer than what I'm watching now.

This should be fun!!

Nite, Guys!

Happy Friday, Ergo!

Man with the broom or the dust in the room? Hmmm...

Have an awesome night!

Hey everyone.

Just got back from a school concert. Sunshine had a solo and sang it beautifully. Yep, I'm a proud mom!

Anonymous said...

They were not missed.

I think they saw Amyranth was on and they planned it like this. Why else would they start with the poetry again? Think about it.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Amyranth was bothered by one poem.

Were you Amyranth?

They weren't bothering anyone at all.

Amyranth said...

Hallo Elena!

Glad to hear Sunshine did well! That girl's got lots of good, solid nerve. I get embarassed when Mister catches me singing along to my MP3 Player.

Anonymous said...

I think they did it TO bother her but she is a bigger person than that.

Also did you notice how another anon was talking to Amyranth and they just ignored both of them?

NOW it's time to see a return of OPJ, Wendy, BC, Ergo along with Amyranth.

I'm glad that "poem" got stuck on the page behind this one.

While reading this wannabe

ask yourself:
Is this metaphor or paradigm?

The wu ji before it
decided to shatter
Big Bang before quantum
the source of all matter

then self-born tai ji

the attraction of each
to the other one's valence

the system, organ
the tissue, the cell
the yin of its yolk
and the yang of its shell

the constance of mass,
fluctuation of weight
the octet bagua,
the atom's rule of eight

endless ebbing and surging
of homeostasis
from jin-ye to bones
all of water's good graces

an hourglass of jing

the unthinkable distance

How was your day? Did you have school today?

Anon616 said...

You should be, Elena! I'm proud for you!
*big hug*

Sweetcheeks: Oh no... did you have to mention turtles?
:(

There has been a turtle tragedy. My poor Jumps has moved on the big turtle pond in the sky. I have yet to tell Bre (Jumps was originally her turtle) and tell Seven too. After all the work they did on the new pond.

I'm going to miss my "red neck" girl. She really was a funny turtle. I've had her for over 10 years. Henry's going to be very lonely now.

Anonymous said...

Thanks sugarplum. You too.
Yep, I did have school, and today was my last day. I'm on spring break as of now. I had a test earlier today, but my last class was canceled because my professor didn't show up, so classes ended earlier.

Although I have to admit, my morning got off to a really irritable start. Last night I had also straightened my hair, but it looks frizzy, so I might get my hair done tomorrow for it.

How are you doing?

Spring break plans? Um let's see....I will definitely catch up on some sleep, that's for sure, lol. Maybe go out on some days and see what's happening around town.

As for hair color, I think I might go for that golden chestnut color, if not, maybe an auburn, but I'll see if I can get a professional recommendation or something.

I think one good thing happened this morning. There's this guy who works at the college newspaper as a writer. I walked passed him on the way to class, but I gave a few glances at him, and for sure, he was indeed cute, but I didn't have time to say hi or anything.

She was a red eared slider turtle, 10:59. She was the size of a bottle cap when Bre first found her! She grew to weigh a ton!

Just look at those claws she had!

Jumps

Jumps' cute little nose!

The funniest thing is that I thought she was a he until last spring...
when HE laid eggs!

What type of turtle are you thinking of getting? A land turtle or an aquatic one?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sounds perfect for you, sweetcheeks! Co~lust bunny works fine for me. I don't know it will for him; but, for me it does!
;)
You absolutely have to pick up one of those school papers!
Thank you, again, 10:59. I must admit, I am getting a little tired of going to funerals. I know. That's a horrible thing to say. They can just be so depressing. Especially when it's one (wonderful) man who's lost 3 family members within a year.
I just hope his funeral isn't the next one I have to attend. He's such a good man. I hope he can find a way to enjoy a few years of living with peace of mind.
He was always so worried about what would happen to his two down's children if he died...
That was on his mind for nearly 60 years. He deserves a few worry free years. At least, I think he does.
Elena: They talk back to me! Ummm.... is that unusual or something?
Awww... that reminds me of Billie Jean's, Ebony Joseph's and Tabby Mathew's vet. (Yes, I used two different vets for my critters.)
His name was Dr. Rogers. I miss him. I haven't seen him since Ebbie Joe died.
I have to go visit him, his wife and mother in law. They cried as much as I did when we had to put Billie Jean to sleep.
When we had to put Tabby Mathew (the kitty I raised from a newborn) to sleep, Dr. Rogers son sat with me and held hand.
That beautiful young man was killed, murdered, by "friends" the night before Mardi Gras. I forget the year...
He was 18 and his parents did all the right things. They knew where he was going and who he was going there with. They knew what he did and the company he kept. That was what was so horrible about this crime. The four people that beat this young man, then wrapped him in sheets and threw him off of an overpass, were people the Roger family knew. Two of them had grown up next door to the Rogers family. Ate at their house. Went on fishing and camping trips with them....
These were people they knew. These were people they trusted.
These were the people who murdered their son. Why? Jealousy. Envy. That's what it all came down to. How horrible and pathetic is that?
That was such a sad funeral. I'll never forget the look on Dr. Rogers face when he saw me and my mother walk in. He hugged us both so tight. He stood there, holding my hand for a good 20 minutes. Introducing me and my mother to his son's real friends (the ones that didn't kill him) and classmates... Telling them all about Billie Jean, Ebony, Tabby and us.
Okay, I'm getting all mushy and sad again.
I better be off now.
It's been great chatting with you, Sweetcheeks, 10:59, Elena, TJ.
I'm sure I'll be in better mood next time!
Thanks for the bump, the hussle, the cha cha and the tighty whities laugh bumping anon!
Amy: I iz furious with you! Where the heck did you go?
Goodnight everyone! Sweet dreams to one and all!
Mayo
So it’s time for you to move on. Well at least it’s time for you to leave Big Dick’s Halfway Inn. Now I’m not making you travel great distance yet. You are still gonna be in the Ozarks but a different location. Your next stop is a place I’ve wanted to stay for a long time but alas I’ve never gotten there so I’m sending you. I first saw this place in a book of old motels. You know one of those large books that show photos of great places that are mostly gone now. Well this place survived. Instead of a motel it’s run as a bed and breakfast now. The cabins are stone and just damn cute. Okay it’s called Rock Cottage Gardens and it’s located in Eureka Springs Arkansas. I’ve picked out the Aspen Cottage for you. I’m thinking this will be a great place for you to relax and do some writing. Perhaps catch up on some reading too. It has a Jacuzzi, Internet access and more. Lord, I sound like I’m selling time-shares. I just wanted to find you a nice place to stay.
So guess what? You are there just in time for the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down. (insert joke here). No really lots of fun to be had. Music, food, special events. Think you’d have fun. And there are so many other thing to see in Eureka Springs. So just have fun.
You do realize don’t you that Elena really needs a vacation herself? But I can’t get away and you, my friend are on vacation.
One more thing you must check out is the ghost tour. I really like their website. I found this quote there….
"The most beautiful and most profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the power of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms-this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness." - ALBERT EINSTEIN-
So yeah you know I’m really into the whole ghost thing and maybe that’s not your cup of tea but somehow I think you’re into trying new things and going for new experiences.
Well that’s it for now. Not sure where you’ll go on the next stop. I’m giving it some thought. Gotta keep my mind occupied somehow.
Take care, have fun.
Night Mayo
No Carrie you can't because I don't go on Mayo's blog whining all about how tragic my life is complaining about my dog and writing poetry about it and whoring out for attention. So there is no need for you to talk about MY life. I have put nothing out there for you to talk about.
nope, your style is bullying and bitchin'
Is it racist? Taken purely in isolation, the sight of a white male gunning down hordes of semi-mindless African opponents has provoked many reactions. But although only a few reviews have sneaked out so far, they largely brush off the racism allegations: it's currently scoring 87% at review aggregation site metacritic.com. Even the BBFC, the group responsible for issuing age certifications in Britain, publicly declared the race controversy a non-issue.
Other commentators have been less charitable. One preview on Eurogamer.net slammed the game as playing "so blatantly into the old cliches of the dangerous dark continent and the primitive lust of its inhabitants that you'd swear the game was written in the 1920s".
That is what we know about Kapunua's FAVORITE game.
No, HER style is bullying and bitching. And whining. And playing racist video games.
You are just wishy washy.
That is what I respect in Wendy and Amy and OPJ.
It's called, "calling a cunt a cunt". And I'm sorry but some people need to be called the fuck out.
Sorry if I brought anyone down!
Hi Carrie! Hi other Carrie!
Life is short. Relax. Enjoy. Don't take insignificant things so seriously. Talk to different people. Get to know them before you accuse them of such passionate negative emotions as hate.
Disliking the continued bad behavior of person does not equal hating them.
Goodnight!
I know you don't HATE her Wendy because I think you are incapable of such an ugly emotion!
But unacceptable CONTINUED bad behavior does need to be called out.
We saw that the bad behavior continuing tonight. More poems to upset Amy.
Basically to bother most of the people here.
just.... thank you for standing up for what is right. Speaking out against what is wrong. It does not equal hate.
It just means you are not afraid to stand up to the porchies. i have to admire that. Most people do.
