It has been too long, Kapunua. It warms my heart to see you in such high spirits.
I am honored to have inspired such delightful verse.
Mischievous to a fault, I cannot deny it amuses me that you find my identity a source of intrigue. I do not wish to remove my mask at this time, however, I do feel I have a moral obligation to let you know who I am not.
I never wear a cloak of blue.
Perhaps one day, in another place, when you least expect it, I will remove my mask and surprise you with a familiar quote...and a familiar face.
P.S. All of the above.

THAT IS SCARY. If I thought for a second that someone from my REAL LIFE was stalking me here, I would be scared. I wouldn't think it was "intriguing" I would just think it was creepy and I would watch my back at every turn.
Ergo, they have nothing better to do. It's quite farcical considering they are accusing others of the very same thing. And adding their own "logic" to everything.

I'm good missT little home drama but nothing that's not uncommon every now and then and all sorted now, so I just had my cuppa, and am about to get dressed for work
How are you? good football result?
and Fim is home safe? excellent!! *waves to fim*
and guy ritchie and madonna are divorcing, oh quelle dommage... but it's on our morning news why? As if it's important as everything else!
Yeah, we won 3-1 in the footie though we were only playing Belarus.
Yup, the madonna and guy thing was on our teatime news. Can't say as I actually give a fuck.
The only thing that makes me wonder is why these clebs whose marriages are falling apart deny it for so long. It's not as though denying it makes them stay together so why bother.
I hope that was SS at J's blog. I read her messages to him every day and they are so sweet. She talks to him like an old friend and obviously feels comfortable enough to be able to pour her heart out to him and she really cares about him. What is so wrong with that?

Hi Amy. Wanted to stop in quickly and say Hello. So, hi! Thanks! Another year older BUT am I another year wiser? Who is to say? I don't know some days. lol
Sorry to hear about your oven. You are ok I see which is a good thing.
Have a good night you blogbelievers wherever you are.
Just dropping by to offer my condolences, wish you all well, and mention that some very good points were made today. Calm conversation is so much easier to understand. Now I'm gone. That didn't even hurt. ;)
Oh Elena! Thats cool. Make sure if she needs help opening the sacks help her. Although cats dont need much assistance. Let us know what they look like, Hope they come out alright. Good Luck have fun! It is amazing to watch the birthing process. I am excited for you!
I havent been able to catch up on anything myself so I have no idea whats going on except the kittens. Doesn't make me a bad person. Maybe Amy didn't get to see what the anon wrote. Sorry anon about your loss. if I have been reading correctly.
Hey everyone--I see we have new BlogKits. Congratulations Elena! Good work, Fred!
To the anon from earlier who wrote of the loss of a life: I'm so very sorry to hear about that. It's never easy, no matter the circumstances, but hopefully all can pull through with prayers, kind words, good friends, and fond memories.
BC is going to talk about her period again, I can't wait! I remember back in the day she used to tell us about when she was picking her nose. I still think BC is the farting and burping anon.
11.59, quiet is preferable at the moment. :) I've got classical on in the background, what kind of music is playing at your place? Glad to hear you're alright.
J, my arthritis's been better, but I'm keeping an eye in case it returns. It's supposed to be cold the rest of the week, and that's usually when it rears it's ugly head.
I like classical pieces too J. I have a broad range of taste when it comes to music :). The only styles I'm not really into is country (some songs are good) or jazz.
Otherwise, it's all good. Lately l've been listening to more indi/metal type stuff.
I know what you mean, BC. When it's cold, when it's raining, when the sun shines, when it's Thursday, when I'm breathing...YOU know, all the regular times! BLARG!!
11.59, we usually put classical on at night to help calm the fur babies down. L and I like it too, fortunately. I'm with you on country music. I grew up with it, when it was much better. It's too pop-sounding now. Jazz? I can't say I like it much either. My preference is...guess what? ;) The louder and more hardcore the better.
I vary it a lot. A few months back I blasted my eardrums with Coheed and Cambria, now I'm immersing myself into the Japanese industrial metal scene, and soft ballads as well.
Hello Mayo, SS, J, Sweetcheeks, Elena, Amy, DW, BI, MissT, FASC, anon(s), and anyone I missed!
How are you all tonight?
4:05 ~ I'm so sorry for your loss. There is no greater loss than the loss of child. And, one of the most difficult things to see/watch is that grieving parent. I'll never understand why some people have to through so much tragedy in their lives. I'm sending strength and good thoughts to you and your family.
On a happier note: KITTENS!!!!! Yay and congratulations to the Elena Family! I can't wait to see pictures!
Hey Peaches! Yes, L's feeling better today, not huge amounts but better than yesterday for sure. She's keeping more food down and has been up most of the day. She went to bed about an hour ago, I guess.
How are YOU? Have you gotten hold of the periodontist yet?
Yeah, BC, I probably do mean Glenn Danzig. I don't know what the fuck I'm saying half the time. O_o
Wendy, no, I don't think I'm going to the Misfits show, but it's cool that they're going to play Knoxville! NOBODY plays Knoxville. Well, hardly. Except acts I don't care to see.
Hi TJ!!! Sounds like a fun stroll down memory lane. Any college secrets you can tell us? ;)
J: Darn it! I knew there was someone I was supposed to try calling today. Please tell Sparkle and Twinkle not to be too maaaaad at Aunt Wendy! I CAN chew now! I even managed to chew my way out of some rope last night ~ apparently. ;) I shall call the periodontist tomorrow! *smiles*
I'm happy to hear L is feeling a little better. Please give her my love and tell her I miss her!
How are you? Are you taking care of yourself while keeping an eye on L?
Where did Amy run off too? And, where is Ergo tonight?
hi j. actually, she's a race horse trainer in idaho. she has to do other jobs as well, but horses are her first love.
hello anon, yes, it is. she and i don't stay in touch like we used to, but whenever we do call each other, it's always a marathon conversation. 3 hours is really just a chat for us. :)
Anon, the group's been in existence since '05, but are just now beginning to play live shows. Their CD is supposed to be released on Oct 31, I believe.
Check out their MySpace. You can hear some of their songs there, too. :)
L and I saw them play in Chicago and Pittsburgh couple months ago. Really really good band.
Wendy, I won't even mention it to Sparkle and Twinkle, that way they won't be upset. Call tomorrow! I expect to hear your appt time tomorrow night, young lady. I'm really glad you can chew, though, even if it IS...rope? There's a story there, I can tell.
I'm ok, same old crap as usual. Luckily L's at a point where she can tend to herself mostly, so I'm not running crazy this time. Yay me! heeheehee
TJ, when L still lived at home and I lived in Chattanooga, we would have 5 and 6 hour conversations almost every day. My phone bill was fucking incredible.
Anon, thanks for the link! Gotta love Hetfield's voice. And when he sings a ballad, he sounds so different.
j., i can remember conversations that literally lasted all night...we'd have to take bathroom breaks and get food from the kitchen. phone talks like that are fun, aren't they?
but oh man, doesn't your ear hurt afterwards something fierce! lol
wendy, well, let's see. there was that one time i was coming back from town and saw a nun taking her bra off in front of her window. that was an eye-opener for my catholic born-and-bred boyfriend!
Oh, TJ! PHONE EAR!! I know, after a while you have to switch, then you realize that's not comfortable cause it's not your usual side for the phone, so you switch back, but the first one still hurts and is all red. But sometimes marathon talks are what you need.
Now, after having worked customer service in a call center, I could CARE about the phone. I have a few people I talk to quite often, but if it's just random calls during the day, I'll let the machine pick up.
phone ear, that's right, j.! i used to have that with my grandmother, too. she would tell the most long, intricate stories. when i was a kid, i thought she was boring, but as an adult, i loved hearing them, and the details that she considered crucial to the tale. three hours was our usual call, as well. :)
Oh, J, the oven fix is slow going. I need to find a new heating element for it first. I DID try to take the old element out, but all I heard was the sound of grinding metal. It made my teeth itch.
Teej, we do have a barbecue. And it's really not horrible because I'm actually making Turkey Stew with the left overs from Thanksgiving. But it's odd how much easier it suddenly seems to come up with oven baked recipes.
i'm sorry about dropping the conversational ball there amyranth! i'm trying to catch up on my flist.
it's funny how you alwasy want the thing when it goes on the blink...it's like my cat coming in to the bathroom and getting all frantic nervous when i'm cleaning the litter box. i swear she hears me in there and suddenly say, "but i gotta goooooooooo".
good luck on the bbq cooking, and getting your oven repaired!
you can even bake on an outdoors grill, can't you ergo? i thought i read that somewhere.
it's funny how you alwasy want the thing when it goes on the blink...it's like my cat coming in to the bathroom and getting all frantic nervous when i'm cleaning the litter box. i swear she hears me in there and suddenly say, "but i gotta goooooooooo".
Hazel and Merlot look HORRIFIED when I clean the litter box. Just, there's no other way to explain it. They look choked.
I didn't get lost, I'm on the phone. How ironic, and here we were talking about phone ear. TJ, I like your comment: "Not tonight dear, I have phone ear." GREAT!
I was, TJ, but I had to let her go; my phone battery was beeping. And I just now saw your comment. Sorry. :(
When I asked her if the kits were cute, she said, "Yeah, they look like little rats, the usual!" There ARE just the three, but it took her cat about 45 minutes, I'd say, to have them all. You'll have to get Elena to tell you the various places the cat tried to have her babies...all of them inconvient and hard to access!
TJ, I think we're closing the place down tonight. Think I'm going to bed though, I'm sleepy.
Goodnight TJ, BC (if you're still up), Anon from 11.59, lurkers, and everyone else in the Castle! Even the dustkin under the couch. *leaves paper plate full of cookie crumbs for the dustkin*
Goodnight Mayo, looks like it got a little rowdy here today. Sorry about that. Here, I'll let you borrow one of my brooms. You can keep it if you don't have one yourself.
Um...weeeeell, end of my day finally. Yours too, I hope. I was going to continue my Halloween theme tonight, but there's nothing coming to mind at the moment. By tomorrow I should have something to relay.
One thing I CAN say re: Halloween candy? I Love those little mellocreme candies. The corn, the pumpkins, even the corn with chocolate at the bottom of the "kernel". You can only eat about 5 of them at a time before you OD on sugar, but they're so damn good...I Hope I can remember to buy some next time I go out. (I think you remember my all-time favorite H. candy.)
Unknown Mass Quantities of that might be dangerous to someone's health. But probably not mine!
Well my news of the day is that we have three new additions to the family. Our cat Wednesday had her babies. True to her obstinate nature she tried having them in some really interesting places around the house. First she tried to climb behind my desk. Then she tried to go upstairs but she was so big she could only haul herself up one stair. Now keep in mind I’d prepared a very nice box with a soft blanket but no, that’s not where she wanted to drop her payload of life. She did actually stay in the box until the actual moment the first kitten started to come then she got out of the box and decided that on the family room rug was the idea spot. I so didn’t agree. But we compromised. I got towels under her in time. The first kitten was pure white and to be honest looked like one of the white rats my daughter used to have as pets. Things were going good until 20 minutes after the birth Wednesday decided she wanted to move again. Before I could stop her she got behind the entertainment center and in the process unplugged the TV and stereo. We got her out of that spot in time for the second kitten to be born. Now to be honest Fred was really doing most of the midwife duties. I pretty much drank coffee and smoked. Anyway the second kitten was pure black like its mom. After 20 more minutes passed we thought it was all over so we got her and the babies back in the box and settled them into a nice warm spot in the family room. However it wasn’t over. She gave birth to a third kitten surprising everyone. It too is pure black. I’m happy to report mom and babies are doing just fine. So wanna kitten? How about two?
In other news we watched two more horror movies. “Jack O’Lantern” and “Satan’s Little Helper.” Both were Halloween movies and both were pretty bad.
“Jack O’Lantern” is pretty much “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Oh, except it’s “I Know What You Did Last Halloween.” And instead of having the Gordon’s Fisherman running around hacking up people it’s a pumpkin headed guy.
“Satan’s Little Helper” is pretty vile actually. I think the thing that bothers me most about it is the stupidity of the woman in the movie. Yeah, the whole “there’s a killer in the house it never crosses my mind to pick up a weapon” thing. Seriously, it was bad. There was a bit of humor (is you wanna call it that) sprinkled in but even that couldn’t help it. Think my favorite line in the movie came when the killer single-handedly offed the entire police force and everyone in town was running amuck. “We’re in Dodge City now” the good guy says. Oh hell no. If they were in Kansas “Satan” would have been pushing up daisies. We have common sense something none of the characters in this movie possessed.
So have you watched any horror movies lately? Got a favorite?
Just stopping by as I am quite tired. I have difficulty sleeping sometimes.
4:05 - I am sorry to hear about your loss, especially of one who was so young. My words are inadequate, I am certain, but I wish you and your family the best.
I agree with Elena that respect is not too much to ask from anyone here - and empathy is a trait that helps us achieve that state. Tragedy does put things in perspective, but highlights (even more so) the need to treat people kindly on an everyday basis.
I gave my nieces extra hugs and believe me, it was no chore.
Mayo - Thanks!
PS - Anon criticizing blues for not signing in - 'pot meet kettle,' with an added dose of hippocracy! I always sign in, so I CAN call you on that.
PPS - TJ, I have a Shakespearean question that I will leave at your blog.
BTW Why does the person quoted from the porch sound like j'observe? Curiouser and curiouser thought Alice...
I find the accusation of blues continually being abusive harassing anons is insulting. I very much dislike the use of "them" and "they" by other anons, as in "they just want to make themselves look better" etc. I too sign in, and have no interest in some stupid juvenile vendetta of any kind
I do feel empathy for those who've been hurt and I detest rudeness - from anyone, anywhere (including 'just a blog' as if there aren't people behind the computer screens).
I know now that if anyone is rude to me here that I need to call them on it immediately - and I am grateful for the lesson. I tend to make excuses for people.
I couldn't believe how rude the one anon was to Solly the other day. Jesus. (Sorry!) She wasn't even here and she was being slammed for nothing!
I think we can all agree to get along - we're adults. And if someone is rude signed in, just face them, get it over with, and move on. Rude anons prob. don't even deserve that courtesy.
Division achieves nothing positive, so I hope blues don't take that message seriously.
Hoping you all find something to smile about today (FASC has that one covered already!) or do something that makes someone else smile. =)
Fimmy, glad you have landed safely!
Mayo, you okay? It's a bloody long way for me to swim, and then knock on your door just to check whether you're all perky and brighteyed. Wave a flag from your window or something, okay? Thanks. =)
So I woke up this morning and I couldn't find anything in my head to share with you, but a funny thing happens when you find yourself sitting around doing some meaningless task like putting on make up. All of a sudden, you remember something that you thought you had forgotten. It could be anything or nothing, and you wonder why in the hell are you thinking about this now at this particular moment on this particular day. You didn't think at the time that it was something for the old photo album, but BOOM, here it is. And it makes no sense, but one leads to another and another. Most of the time I do my best to out-think myself, that's why I don't have shit to say. It's a constant battle between me and myself, trying to make sense of it all. And it's also why most of the time my shit ends up coming out sounding like a hot mess.
I guess my point(s) is/are this...is every moment of my life up there somewhere? Even if I have done my best to replace and misplace and forget? I'm not much for remembering details. I might not remember what I was wearing or what someone looked like but I will remember the feelings associated...the anxiety, the dread, the excitement, the fear, the happiness, the devastation, the satisfaction. When I allow myself to rewind, and that's the key, allowing myself, I can remember exactly what I was feeling. And then I wonder if someone out there is/was feeling the exact same way.
Funny how the mind works. And here I thought I had cluttered mine up with song lyrics and useless knowledge.
It's all there, Mayo. Whether we realize it or not, we're always making memories.
For ourselves and for someone else. Can you remember them all? Is someone out there thinking of you this mornnig?
Mayo “Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.”* I just liked this quote, I've been really enjoying reading them, I read quite a lot before I choose. It's really interesting to see what others have said, some easy to agree with, some challenging, some which don't fit at all, but all worth trying on for a moment. I like this as I am not the loud one, ever, that's just me, but I have found it brings it's own strength and that suits me fine. Wishing you knowledge of your strengths, recognition of your weaknesses, the opportunity to grow and to meet those who compliment you much love EP xx
SS “Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.”** love this quote, every time I stood in front of a class, this was how I felt. Just like a duck, it doesn't matter if you're paddling like mad, as long as it appears to be an effortless floating on the surface. Sending you buoyancy, strong legs and unruffled feathers lotsa love EP xx

goodnight blogbelieve, see you in my morning ♥xx♥
g'nite poss, I don't know if he realises just how far we have to travel!
hi to anyone arriving while I sleep, have a good hump day
Unlike some people who like to brag about their 'special relationship' with SS at every opportunity, I liked how GS did not grab the spotlight when SS solved her puzzle.GS has class.Some people could learn a thing or two from GS.But then some people can't learn class.
i thought it was funny that GS didn't bother to correct K when she was blathering on about how he was acknowledging her and her stupid Planet Earth. GS just let K continue making a fool of herself. i thought it was funny. K always assumes Mayo and SS are talking to her or sending her secret messages.
Good morning/afternoon/evening Mayo, SS, Ergo, Miranth, Possum, FASC, Sdock; various anons, watchers and lurkers; all kittens, cubs and assorted baby critters (and their humans) in the land o'blogbelieve!
How are you all this a.m./p.m? Congenial, conscientious and content, I hope! Me, I have crotchety cranium . (Translation for those who don't speak my language: I have a headache.)
*the letter C brought to you by me ~ for no reason whatsoever (other than I wanted to) ~ today
Sweetcheeks: I have another quiz for you! I shall post it in a few. ;)
Elena: How are those precious baby kittens? Did you name them yet?
Amy: Happy element hunting! Is your phone behaving now?
Ergo: I'm loving the quotes! *smoooooooch*
Miranth: Give your niece an extra hug, for me, today! If you don't mind, that is! *hugs*
Possum: I have missed you!!!!!! *gently nuzzles Possums* *no seasonings involved*
Submitted for your pondering consideration today: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Special Olympics (An almost true story)
A few years ago at the Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants, all physically or mentally disabled, assembled at the starting line for the 100-yard dash. At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with a relish to run the race to the finish and win.
All, that is, except one boy who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple of times and began to cry. The other eight heard the boy cry. They slowed down and looked back. They all turned around and went back. Every one of them.
One girl with Down's Syndrome bent down and kissed him and said, "This will make it better."
All nine linked arms and walked across the finish line together.
Everyone in the stadium stood, and the cheering went on for several minutes. People who were there are still telling the story. Why? Because deep down we know this one thing:
What matters in this life is more than winning for ourselves.
What truly matters in this life is helping others win, even if it means slowing down and changing our course.
Addendum to this story: (The true story)
Origins: The story is more true than not, although its primary point has been grossly exaggerated. According to folks at the Special Olympics Washington office, the incident happened at a 1976 track and field event held in Spokane, Washington. A contestant did take a tumble, and one or two of the other athletes turned back to help the fallen one, culminating in their crossing the finish line together, but it was only one or two, not everyone in the event. The others continued to run their race.
The story is thus not about an entire class of "special people" who spontaneously tossed aside their own dreams of going for gold in favor of helping a fallen competitor, but rather one about a couple of individuals who chose to go to the aid of another contestant. Unfortunately, this tale as it is now being told helps further a stereotype that deficiencies in intelligence are compensated for by unfailingly sweet natures and a way of looking at the world in childlike wonder. Special Olympians train long and hard for their events and are every bit as committed as athletes who compete in any other athletic endeavors. The Special Olympics are not a casual get-together organized to give less fortunate members of the community a day to socialize and perhaps run in a foot race or two. They're highly organized sporting events taken very seriously by all involved, with each competitor striving to do his best. It's about trying. And succeeding.
The Special Olympics oath is "Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
May you all have one or two "special" people in your lives who are willing to "lose the race" to help you achieve your own, personal victory! I think most of realize that people who are willing to do that are the real winners ~ in life's race!
Hugs and Love, ~Namaste~ 6/Wendy
Hi PJ, CTV, Entropy, PPU, Already Gone, Mel, EB37, and Oranges Anon!
Kitten update: They are enjoying breakfast at the moment. Wednesday looks very proud of her children.
Well it's a beautiful day here the sun is bright and there is frost on the pumpkins.
Mayo hope wherever you are you take a few moments today to stop and look at the world around you. Don't let the day pass you by without making a least one good memory.
SS hope you have an outstanding day full of laughter and smiles.
^And I like how none of you anons knew the answer to GS's riddle until I pointed it out, either. And I also like how none of you bother saying that I wasn't the one who said he was talking to me: All of you did that. All I did was answer him.
I don't know why I bother with you tools. ^_^
Mayo and S(S)S, I hope you are having as lovely a day as I am. The only thing that's really annoying today is that my crow won't SHUT UP! I literally just went in there and held his beak closed and he got all, "Mrrrrrr! ma'oma'oma'oma'o!" You know how loud crows caw when they're outside? Imagine it in your house.
Well anyway, the weather is beautiful and it looks like thunderstorms a little later today. How nice is that! I hope wherever either of you are, it's a cool, windy, overcast day full of gold and orange. Then, have a cup of tea or hot chocolate and don't watch TV when you come home from work. There's nothing good on anyway (when it's not Tuesday.) ;)
Oh, oh! And I hope you guys watched the debate last night. Who do you think won?
See, because I think Obama won but I know I am biased towards Obama, so it's hard for me to judge. I was near exploding with anger at McCain during most of it. Oh man, it's so hard for me to watch presidential debates, but Obama was just like, "LOL, look, here's the deal." I thought he handled himself so well.
I know you guys are all up on your voter registration and whatnot. Are either of you as nervous as I am? It's almost like it's too much to even think about.
Thought I'd drop by and say hello. Haven't talked to you guys in a couple of days. ^_^
Mayo,
Did I tell you my husband's interpretation of your painting? I didn't tell him what it was and just asked him to look at it and tell me what he saw. He said, "It looks like a bunch of praying mantis. O_O So, I looked back at it and went, "Huh, well damn. I do see a praying mantis in there." Then I told him what it really was and he was like, "Oh! Yeah! Okay! I see that now!" It's just funny how people see things differently. Anyhoo, hope you are doing well and you are as fantabulous as ever. Miss you. :)
SS!!!!!!
So, like, what's up? Did you do what Jules told you to do? Did you go to a real pumpkin patch? Did you? Guess what? I have pumpkins right across the street from my house. How special am I? ^_~ You know, this time of year it's all about the pumpkins, right? Hope you are doing well and you are jappy happy! Hope to see you around soon. Miss you, too! :)
And it's TODD Thursday for anyone that wants to take part at DM! YAY!
MJ Mine aren't too bad, I only have 2 at a time and they are 13, a whole classfull needs a lot more prep. I do teens and cannot see how people do younger!
I'm just looking through some interactive literacy games on the net to use with them
the BBC is brilliant it has a whole area of crosswords and such to learn english, areas for kids to learn english and maths with activities and games only think is I want to play them! I have to stop so I can get ready :[
even if no one gets me, if i'm the only one laughing at my jokes, i won't hide myself away from life. it's uncertain and it's dirty and it's fucking exciting, and i want to be a part of all of it.
it's too good to waste in hiding.

heart full
Today on my way home from class, I stopped off at the petrol station for some petrol. I paid on my card which wasn’t a lot, and then as I was getting into my car, I saw an old man walking past the building. He had a red and green stripy jumper which was frayed at the ends. He was also wearing some jeans that were dirty and had holes all over.
I sat there and became intrigued by him because I didn’t know what he was doing, so as I sat there and watched him, he continued doing what he set out to do.
He walked past the trash cans and first picked out a cup with some drink still in it (one of the cups that you get from burger king that has coke in it). He then walked over to the next trash can and pulled out the end of a half eaten sandwich. In my shock horror, he ate it and then went to sit on the wall to drink the drink he had found.
I felt sad, I wanted to give him my last $4 that I had but I was told when I was younger that you should never give people money, you should give them something they need or can use because that way, if they had an addiction, they would not be able to use the money for their addiction. So I went into the shop and bought a chicken sandwich from their deli counter and then walked out of the building.
The guy was still sat at the wall drinking his drink so I walked up to him and asked him if he would like this sandwich. He thanked me and said that he was hungry.
I should of felt good after that, doing something for someone else but all I could think of is where his next meal will come from or where in fact he will sleep tonight.

(Tonight, although I am cold and my feet are sore, my belly is full.)
It helped.
Jennicula,
Thank you for sharing your story. Although it only appeared briefly, I was lucky enough to have caught it.
Once upon a time, for me, that was the best part of this place...having my words related back to me from another's perspective.
And it never mattered to me who said it, just that it meant something to the writer.

Don't let anyone tell you how to live your life. Hold your head up high and be proud of who you are. If you've had a shitty day and you feel like people just don't want you to be happy, and when you find yourself struggling to make it through the day, just keep on believing and keep the faith. Also, from personal experience, don't push people away. When they say they want to help and that they are there for you, let them in. Believe me, I know how fucking scary that thought is, but don't shut others out.

Retro-spectacled
Sometimes, when you look back on stuff in your life, you know, the crap that makes you shake your head and say, "Holy shit, what the Hell was I thinking?" it's part of what makes you - you.
I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. I have made small mistakes and really big, fucking scary mistakes. Would I change those mistakes and blunders?
No. Wanna know why?
Because they make me - me. They help make up the person that I am, what I've learned the hard way. Hopefully I've learned from my mistakes and have become a better person for it. And, hopefully I don't repeat those same mistakes. Although, sometimes I repeat variations of certain ones, but I'm working on that. :)

aloft
Blazing against the sun like locusts, samaras swarm the sky and skitter to an earthly end, dry like clever words. I want to make them fly up, flip heaven upside down and dance across the top of hell and sing your thoughts to the sound of thunder that you love so well, rip open the littered sky and bathe in the light or draw across the firmament the blanket of the night.
In only a day they have covered the ground, their brief flight yielding nothing permanent on infertile land, a fleeting moment of swarming glory that calls to mind our own short story: Diamonds and petals, the loom and the light, the inkdark moon, foxfire marsh, an open, waiting hand.
Clever winged seeds of childhood reminiscent-- and like the idiot grown-up heart, as stubbornly indehiscent.

Electric Blue
…today I saw a ulysses butterfly it was in our yard and settled to feed on our hibiscus. They really are fantastically beautiful things, the electric blue is amazing, however as they sit with their wings closed they are rather nondescript and dull. Sometimes people are like that, from the outside they seem unappealing but within there hides an amazing beauty for those lucky enough to see it. I hope you appreciate beauty in all things, and look for it perhaps where others miss it.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
I read your post again and suddenly without warning memories of construction paper filled my head. I remembered all the lop-sided flowers my girls made when they were young. Bright blue, yellow and pink flowers that were cut out with blunt end scissors would fill the windows to decorate for Easter. An occasional bunny was attempted but those usually ended up looking like creatures from a horror movie. Flowers were so much easier. I can close my eyes and hear the paper being cut into petals. I can smell the Elmer’s glue squirted on in huge blobs to attach each misshapen petal to form the flowers. We had a huge arts and crafts box full of wonderful items just waiting for their imaginations to turn into something wonderful. In my mind I see my daughters, as they once were, small, blond little girls sitting on the floor surrounded by scraps of paper and other art supplies. They would create their masterpieces then proudly show each other. Oh and Lord the messes that would ensue if the glitter made an appearance. Now, the box is forgotten. I’m not really sure where it even is anymore. The few flowers so lovingly created that survived are faded and dusty and high on a shelf they sit. Time marches on, so many things get left behind.
Today was the first Easter I spent alone. I don’t think it really upset me until I remembered the construction paper flowers. Of course I understand that my daughters are growing up and have lives of their own. But understanding doesn’t make it any easier to accept. I miss my little girls in their frilly Easter dresses. I miss the laughter that filled the house when they found what the Easter Bunny left for them. And I miss making the damn flowers.

This needs to be said.

P.S. All of the above.

THAT IS SCARY. If I thought for a second that someone from my REAL LIFE was stalking me here, I would be scared. I wouldn't think it was "intriguing" I would just think it was creepy and I would watch my back at every turn.
anons it would be between them if it was an issue at all anyway
you speculating is pointless
Hiya Ergo, how are you today sweetie?
Hi and bye FASC. Yippee on the footie. It's a shame my spurs boys aren't playing as well.
that was for the anon higher up but works far any I suppose
Ergo, they have nothing better to do. It's quite farcical considering they are accusing others of the very same thing. And adding their own "logic" to everything.

hi fasc!!
I'm good missT little home drama but nothing that's not uncommon every now and then and all sorted now, so I just had my cuppa, and am about to get dressed for work
How are you?
good football result?
and Fim is home safe? excellent!!

and guy ritchie and madonna are divorcing, oh quelle dommage...
but it's on our morning news why? As if it's important as everything else!
I'm good too thanks Ergo.
What is so wrong with that?
missT any publicity is good publicity I think, I daresay the timing of the announcement has been planned also.
I beleive so Ergo, hasn't she just started the American leg of her tour?
I'm not sure but she's in the middle of it so perhaps it is
I must be off to work, have a great rest of today and tomorrow all!

See you later Ergo, have a great day yourself.

Presidential debate #3 update.
McCain in fighting mood.
Obama about to get punched in nose
by the moderator no less.
Just dropping by to offer my condolences, wish you all well, and mention that some very good points were made today. Calm conversation is so much easier to understand. Now I'm gone. That didn't even hurt. ;)
Oh wow
Our cat is having her kittens right now. Gotta go...
Obama is such a liar
Oh Elena! Thats cool. Make sure if she needs help opening the sacks help her. Although cats dont need much assistance. Let us know what they look like, Hope they come out alright.
Good Luck have fun!
It is amazing to watch the birthing process. I am excited for you!
Oooh!
Mittens!
-A
Anon from earlier with the sudden death in the family, I'm thinking of you and sending my sympathies.
Sometimes, it's just too quick.
-A
at least dickweed caught that one amy. you notice kittens.
So far she has had one pure white kitten and one pure black kitten. Not sure if she's done yet.
Back later.
Thanks for the update Elena
I havent been able to catch up on anything myself so I have no idea whats going on except the kittens.
Doesn't make me a bad person. Maybe Amy didn't get to see what the anon wrote.
Sorry anon about your loss. if I have been reading correctly.
Hello
Sorry about your loss anon
Hallo MJ.
Elena, black kittens are awesome.
Anon, thank you.
-A
Hello amy anons and elena
Hey amy and mj. Aw good luck with the kittens Elena. 4:05, I'm sorry for your loss.
Hallo BC!
-A
Hello BC
Sorry I haven't read any of the comments since I left the store.
From what I see now an anon has suffered a loss today? I'm so sorry about that.
I will try to catch up later.
We now have 2 black kittens and one white. Fred is being the midwife. I'm pretty much just watching.
2 black cats? Dude, you're in trouble.
Double the weird.
-A
Hey guys, how are you doing? Aww two black cats, whoa.
I'm not bad BC!
I should be sewing, but I'll save that for the weekend.
-A
4:05, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. You are correct, nothing here could ever compare with that experience.
Elena congratulations on the new additions to the family :)
Martha, good to read you again. Hello to everyone else.
That's good Amy. How is the costume looking so far?
Hi there anon. How are you ?
BC, it looks like bits and pieces of fabric that are strewn across my floor!
Oh well. I'll get the majority of it put together this weekend, I think.
-A
I hope so Amy. Good luck with that. Are you planning on posting pics when the outfit is done I'd love to see some.
BC, I might. I'll probably post some pictures over at my blog when I have some. Right now, it's just the brooch that I have a picture of.
-A
Thank You Anon.
Goodnight Guys
Goodnight MJ!
-A
Goodnight mj sweet dreams.
That's cool Amy, I can't wait to see pics.
*grins*
Thanks BC!
I think I'm going to take off for a bit. See you in a while!
-A
Hey everyone--I see we have new BlogKits. Congratulations Elena! Good work, Fred!
To the anon from earlier who wrote of the loss of a life: I'm so very sorry to hear about that. It's never easy, no matter the circumstances, but hopefully all can pull through with prayers, kind words, good friends, and fond memories.
Take care Amy. Hey there J, how are you?
It's just you and me for now.
Hi BC and J
Hi there anon
Hi BC! *hugs* I'm fairly ok. And yourself?
Hi Anon! How are you tonight?
I'm glad it's quieted down from earlier.
Me too J. I'm doing alright, but a bit crampy.
That's ok. It's quite nice when it's quiet. You actually hear things :)
I'm enjoying some music while I catch up with some work, how has your day been?
Oooooh...'nuff said. :P Sorry about that.
How's the arthritis doing? My ankle's some better today, not as swollen.
Don't we sound like two little old ladies in a nursing home? :D
12:16,
Nope.
J, my arthritis's been better, but I'm keeping an eye in case it returns. It's supposed to be cold the rest of the week, and that's usually when it rears it's ugly head.
I'm sorry about your ankle though.
Speaking of punk, you guys will never guess who's playing in Knoxville on my birthday this year! C'mon, guess!
Ok, I'll tell you then.
The Misfits! But it's the "New" Misfits, so I don't know about going. The old lineup was better.
I suck at guessing J. You must tell us!
I tend to like a bit of that too J :)
I vary it a lot. A few months back I blasted my eardrums with Coheed and Cambria, now I'm immersing myself into the Japanese industrial metal scene, and soft ballads as well.
The misfits are actually playing? I prefer the old lineup myself.
I like the Metallica cover of the Misfits tune.
Anon, if you like loud and hardcore, you'll like Leathermouth. Have you heard of them?
BC, exactly. If they could bring the old lineup back, with Greg Ginn (sp?), I'd be there now, waiting for tickets.
J: How's L feeling tonight? Much better, I hope!
Sweetcheeks: What did you do today?
Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~

Hi PJ!!!!
Metallica's done a lot of Ramones covers too. Kind of surprising.
What's the name of the song anon?
hello everyone.
i just had a fun three-hour conversation with my best friend from college. it's amazing how easily we fall into the obnoxiously loud laughter. :)
Hey Peaches! Yes, L's feeling better today, not huge amounts but better than yesterday for sure. She's keeping more food down and has been up most of the day. She went to bed about an hour ago, I guess.
How are YOU? Have you gotten hold of the periodontist yet?
J: You get to see the Misfits on your birthday? HOORAY for you!!!!
12:36/40: I like Coheed and Cambria. I love Metallica, of course!
J, you mean Glenn Danzig? They should bring him back.
Hi there sugarplum *runs and smothers with sloppy kisses and hugs*
How are you feeling? Any better? Today was a crappy rainy day so I stayed home yet again, drinking teas and such.
Hey TJ! That's great about talking with your friend. Is she back in Seattle or somewhere else?
Hello anon616.
J, I can't say that I really do. Have they been around for long?
BC I'll try to find it for you.
Toujours, it's wonderful when we can re-connect with friends :)
Hi TJ *huggies*
Yeah, BC, I probably do mean Glenn Danzig. I don't know what the fuck I'm saying half the time. O_o
Wendy, no, I don't think I'm going to the Misfits show, but it's cool that they're going to play Knoxville! NOBODY plays Knoxville. Well, hardly. Except acts I don't care to see.
Kenny Chesney is a big favorite here. :P
I even managed to chew my way out of some rope last night ~ apparently. ;)
I shall call the periodontist tomorrow! *smiles*
I'm happy to hear L is feeling a little better. Please give her my love and tell her I miss her!
How are you? Are you taking care of yourself while keeping an eye on L?
Where did Amy run off too? And, where is Ergo tonight?
Thanks anon :)
hi j. actually, she's a race horse trainer in idaho. she has to do other jobs as well, but horses are her first love.
hello anon, yes, it is. she and i don't stay in touch like we used to, but whenever we do call each other, it's always a marathon conversation. 3 hours is really just a chat for us. :)
bc! hi there! *hug*
3 hours is a drop in time toujours :)
Sweetcheeks: I'm sorry to hear you had another rainy, not so great day. :(
We need to get you to the grocery store soon!
I agree with you about the Danzig thing, too!
I'm doing better. Thanks for asking!
Yay me! heeheehee
I'll give her your love and hugs and all.
hi wendy! umm, college secrets? *heh*
>_>
why, no. no, of course not.
;)
three hours is a short time, when you look at it in perspective, anon. very true. :)
It's okay, TJ! You don't have to give us the XXX rated versions. The R rated version should do tonight! ;)
Thanks J!!! I feel better knowing you won't tell on Aunt Wendy. I would miss my lambkin slobber. ;)
Thanks for the link anon!
TJ, when L still lived at home and I lived in Chattanooga, we would have 5 and 6 hour conversations almost every day. My phone bill was fucking incredible.
Anon, thanks for the link! Gotta love Hetfield's voice. And when he sings a ballad, he sounds so different.
I'm glad you're doing better sugarplum :)
Wait, what's this? Why do I need to go to the grocery store? You keep suggesting it.
Heh.
hello!
just home from work and an hour before titoring again!
Hello ergo :)
did I hear kitties??????????
hi anon!
and hi Tj J wendy *smooooooch* BC
:]
hows everyone?
J: Ask Elena to borrow that knot book ~ again! I copied the pages of interesting knots, for future reference. ;)
Shhhh....don't tell the FBI!
Well, I have to run. I just wanted to drop in, say howdy and see how everyone was doing.
*smoooooooch* for Ergo
Sweetcheeks: *extra big hug and sloppy kisses for you*
Have fun and goodnight! Sweetdreams to one and all!
Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~
6/Wendy
PS: YAY for J!!!!! Relax a little, tonight and tomorrow, please.
hi ergo. :)
j., i can remember conversations that literally lasted all night...we'd have to take bathroom breaks and get food from the kitchen. phone talks like that are fun, aren't they?
but oh man, doesn't your ear hurt afterwards something fierce! lol
wendy, well, let's see. there was that one time i was coming back from town and saw a nun taking her bra off in front of her window. that was an eye-opener for my catholic born-and-bred boyfriend!
good night wendy. sweet dreams. :)
Hi ergo!
Ergo!!!!! Dang it! I have to run; but, I shall howl at you later! ;)
Thank you for my *smooooooches*
Have fun, honeybunch!
Goodnight Wendy! I'll do my best to do that. While I do that, YOU call the periodontist! The slobber will be waiting in your mailbox. ;)
Hi Ergo, Elena's cat had her kits tonight, so far 2 black and 1 white. I want to see pictures soon. Think we all do!
Goodnight sugarplum *blows kisses*
I love kittens they are so...>.< cute!
glad I caught you wendy!
I have work so I'm not about as usual!
Amy had to go scrub the yucky dishes in the sink.
Yuck.
-A
Oh, TJ!
HAI AMY! (Thought I'd spell it like you do for once.)
I have had phone ear too many times!!!
I found a guy I went to primary school with on facebook, now I'm waiting for him to look and see, wish he'd hurry up and log in again
Hallo amy!
HAI J!
Hallo Teej, Ergo, BC and whoever else is lurky lurking!
-A is drinking tea.
Hiya Amy!
phone ear, that's right, j.! i used to have that with my grandmother, too. she would tell the most long, intricate stories. when i was a kid, i thought she was boring, but as an adult, i loved hearing them, and the details that she considered crucial to the tale. three hours was our usual call, as well. :)
hi amyranth!
How goes the stove repair, oh Queen?
(brb)
Phone Ear should be a reason to call off work.
"Hi, I can't come in today. Mom called last night and I have Phone Ear"
How's everyone doing?
-A
Oh, J, the oven fix is slow going. I need to find a new heating element for it first. I DID try to take the old element out, but all I heard was the sound of grinding metal. It made my teeth itch.
-A
"not tonight dear, i have phone ear"
y/n?
i'm doing okay tonight, amyranth. that sucks about your oven. do you have a hibachi?
Teej, we do have a barbecue. And it's really not horrible because I'm actually making Turkey Stew with the left overs from Thanksgiving. But it's odd how much easier it suddenly seems to come up with oven baked recipes.
Phone Ear: The catch-all excuse for everything.
-A
I managed to cook heaps on a BBQ it's amazing how versatile they are
Indeed Ergo.
meat + fire = good
I think I'm going to go, I'm really tired and I kinda get to sleep in tomorrow morning.
I'll talk to you guys later.
Goodnight Mayo and SS.
-A
i'm sorry about dropping the conversational ball there amyranth! i'm trying to catch up on my flist.
it's funny how you alwasy want the thing when it goes on the blink...it's like my cat coming in to the bathroom and getting all frantic nervous when i'm cleaning the litter box. i swear she hears me in there and suddenly say, "but i gotta goooooooooo".
good luck on the bbq cooking, and getting your oven repaired!
you can even bake on an outdoors grill, can't you ergo? i thought i read that somewhere.
good night amyranth. sweet dreams. :)
goodnight Amy
my student is here so I must go too
night for everyone
xx

Hazel and Merlot look HORRIFIED when I clean the litter box. Just, there's no other way to explain it. They look choked.
Goodnight again Teej.
-A
good night ergo, have a good rest of the day.
see you tomorrow, amyranth.
:)
I didn't get lost, I'm on the phone. How ironic, and here we were talking about phone ear. TJ, I like your comment: "Not tonight dear, I have phone ear." GREAT!
Goodnight Amy, see you tomorrow!
And goodnight Ergo!
are you talking to elena, j.? say hi for me if you are! and give her my kitty congratulations! :)
You'll have to get Elena to tell you the various places the cat tried to have her babies...all of them inconvient and hard to access!
hi honey
:)
(♥♥)
TJ, I think we're closing the place down tonight. Think I'm going to bed though, I'm sleepy.
Goodnight TJ, BC (if you're still up), Anon from 11.59, lurkers, and everyone else in the Castle! Even the dustkin under the couch. *leaves paper plate full of cookie crumbs for the dustkin*
Goodnight Mayo, looks like it got a little rowdy here today. Sorry about that. Here, I'll let you borrow one of my brooms. You can keep it if you don't have one yourself.
love, faith, hope, brighter days, better tomorrows
Yuh-oh.

Dear SS,
Um...weeeeell, end of my day finally.
Take care, sleep well, have a good one tomorrow!
Goodnight, baby. I love you.
My heart to yours, always.
And one last thing:
HI PJ!!! *waves like a lunatic*
goodnight my sweet
♥♥

Mayo
Well gonna go check on the kittens. Take care.
Night Mayo
Elena (Sure you don’t want a kitten?)
Hi :)
Have a great one guys!
yay kittens!!!
goodnight elena cats are the most stubborn single minded creatures
hope you, and your new extended family have restful sleep and sweet dreams
*walks to bedroom and disrobes but for white singlet and panties*
*hears very strange noise*
*decides to leave all the lights off and go investigate*
*ignores phone*
*ignores doors*
*ignores any potential blunt object*
*breathes loudly and breathily*
*has complete faith in the killer repelling powers of underwear*
*opens doors to darkened room*
SCREEEEEAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
*finds she is sadly mistaken in said previous faith*
*lies bloodily, but very attractively, on floor*
I watch way too many bad horror movies too :]
Hi miranth
I find the accusation of blues continually being abusive harassing anons is insulting.
I very much dislike the use of "them" and "they" by other anons, as in "they just want to make themselves look better" etc.
I too sign in, and have no interest in some stupid juvenile vendetta of any kind
my apologies to j., for vanishing, and a belated good night.
and good night too, to elena, miranth and ergo. sweet dreams.
mayo,
somehow, between my last comment and this one, i've gotten lost. it's like i am a cracked vessel, and wasn't aware of the leak until it was too late.
no doubt tomorrow there will be something shiny to distract me, and i'll be fine.
good night, friend.
be happy and healthy, safe and strong, hale and whole, bright and blessed.
ergo - I Agree.
And I do think we can get along. I have faith.
:)
TJ - I left you a message. :)
morning mayo!
morning SS!
morning everyone!
no time!
hope everyone has good days/nights!
congrats on the kittens elena!
Now to be honest Fred was really doing most of the midwife duties. I pretty much drank coffee and smoked.

*wheezes in after FASC*
*darn, she's a fast one to chase around blogs!*
Morning everyone!
Thanks. =)
SS,
Smart Stuff with GS's puzzle. =)
Have a great day/night everyone!
Mayo,
Hey, how are ya? I'm hope you're fantastic.
I wonder.
Love to YOU Always,
S
p.s. A circus.
BlogBelieve,
Have a great Thursday! Make a memory for someone else today!
To the Anon from Yesterday,
My thoughts are with you and your family.
SS,
Thinking about you too, my friend. Make some memories today or remember ones from yesterday!
Later, guys!
Hi sdock, enjoy your day
Mayo
“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.”*
I just liked this quote, I've been really enjoying reading them, I read quite a lot before I choose. It's really interesting to see what others have said, some easy to agree with, some challenging, some which don't fit at all, but all worth trying on for a moment.
I like this as I am not the loud one, ever, that's just me, but I have found it brings it's own strength and that suits me fine.
Wishing you knowledge of your strengths, recognition of your weaknesses, the opportunity to grow and to meet those who compliment you
much love EP xx
SS
“Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.”**
love this quote, every time I stood in front of a class, this was how I felt. Just like a duck, it doesn't matter if you're paddling like mad, as long as it appears to be an effortless floating on the surface.
Sending you buoyancy, strong legs and unruffled feathers
lotsa love EP xx

goodnight blogbelieve, see you in my morning
♥xx♥
g'nite poss, I don't know if he realises just how far we have to travel!
hi to anyone arriving while I sleep, have a good hump day
oops I am a day out! damn time zones!!
please replace all Wednesday's with Thursday's for you guys
for me (and PP)
TGIF tomorrow!!!
SS,
Smart Stuff with GS's puzzle. =)
*gently nuzzles Possums*
*no seasonings involved*

Special Olympics
(An almost true story)
Addendum to this story:
(The true story)
But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
May you all have one or two "special" people in your lives who are willing to "lose the race" to help you achieve your own, personal victory! I think most of realize that people who are willing to do that are the real winners ~ in life's race!
Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~
Have a great day, everyone!
Hello everyone.
Kitten update: They are enjoying breakfast at the moment. Wednesday looks very proud of her children.
Well it's a beautiful day here the sun is bright and there is frost on the pumpkins.
Mayo hope wherever you are you take a few moments today to stop and look at the world around you. Don't let the day pass you by without making a least one good memory.
SS hope you have an outstanding day full of laughter and smiles.
^And I like how none of you anons knew the answer to GS's riddle until I pointed it out, either. And I also like how none of you bother saying that I wasn't the one who said he was talking to me: All of you did that. All I did was answer him.
I don't know why I bother with you tools. ^_^
Mayo and S(S)S, I hope you are having as lovely a day as I am. The only thing that's really annoying today is that my crow won't SHUT UP! I literally just went in there and held his beak closed and he got all, "Mrrrrrr! ma'oma'oma'oma'o!" You know how loud crows caw when they're outside? Imagine it in your house.
Well anyway, the weather is beautiful and it looks like thunderstorms a little later today. How nice is that! I hope wherever either of you are, it's a cool, windy, overcast day full of gold and orange. Then, have a cup of tea or hot chocolate and don't watch TV when you come home from work. There's nothing good on anyway (when it's not Tuesday.) ;)
Did you guys get your pumpkins yet? I hope so!
Later all!
Oh, oh! And I hope you guys watched the debate last night. Who do you think won?
See, because I think Obama won but I know I am biased towards Obama, so it's hard for me to judge. I was near exploding with anger at McCain during most of it. Oh man, it's so hard for me to watch presidential debates, but Obama was just like, "LOL, look, here's the deal." I thought he handled himself so well.
I know you guys are all up on your voter registration and whatnot. Are either of you as nervous as I am? It's almost like it's too much to even think about.
Okay, have a great day!
Morning Mayo! Morning SS!
Thought I'd drop by and say hello. Haven't talked to you guys in a couple of days. ^_^
Mayo,
Did I tell you my husband's interpretation of your painting? I didn't tell him what it was and just asked him to look at it and tell me what he saw. He said, "It looks like a bunch of praying mantis. O_O So, I looked back at it and went, "Huh, well damn. I do see a praying mantis in there." Then I told him what it really was and he was like, "Oh! Yeah! Okay! I see that now!" It's just funny how people see things differently. Anyhoo, hope you are doing well and you are as fantabulous as ever. Miss you. :)
SS!!!!!!
So, like, what's up? Did you do what Jules told you to do? Did you go to a real pumpkin patch? Did you? Guess what? I have pumpkins right across the street from my house. How special am I? ^_~ You know, this time of year it's all about the pumpkins, right? Hope you are doing well and you are jappy happy! Hope to see you around soon. Miss you, too! :)
And it's TODD Thursday for anyone that wants to take part at DM! YAY!
Later folks.
Whoops! My fingers were lightening fast and I clicked publish twice! Sorry, Mayo!
I'm good MJ, work again today so I'm having coffee before getting ready
Those kittens are going to be a hand full.
=^.^=
No amount of coffee could prepare me for working with children.
Hey MJ and Ergo
Sorry it takes me so long to answer but I'm at work.
I'll try to get a pic of the kittens to post.
oh that would be lovely if you could elena
how is work?
MJ Mine aren't too bad, I only have 2 at a time and they are 13, a whole classfull needs a lot more prep.
I do teens and cannot see how people do younger!
I'm just looking through some interactive literacy games on the net to use with them
Work is busy today. I want to go home!
how long until you finish?
Go home Elena and take care of those kttens! :)
haha if the porkies were here right now they would be yelling at mayo every 2 secs and forcing him to make a new blog
Anon at 5:26 I wish I could go home but closing while there are customers in the store it pretty bad.
A new post will come when it's time. All in good MayoTime.
there are so many online resources out there!
the BBC is brilliant it has a whole area of crosswords and such to learn english, areas for kids to learn english and maths with activities and games
only think is I want to play them!
I have to stop so I can get ready :[
think = thing
lol aren't I the one teaching the literacy?
elena if you shut them in you'd have to leave food and water, and they'd probably make nests to sleep and it would just be a big mess in the morning
Good one Ergo!
Yeah, I could do that, couldn't I? Hey they'd have plenty to read.
