For giving myself time.

We are all in some way the same. Any of us can be traced on parchment and placed over another and the outline will match, at some point. Keep turning the page until it fits just right. Call it coincidence, if you will.

I can hold you up against me and often the lines match up perfect.



The following is an excerpt from an old handwritten journal.

Yesterday I saw my reflection and waited for an answer. I stood there like an idiot, swaying and staring. It took a while, but what I found was strength and self-respect. The bags packed themselves and walked right out the door. My hand held tightly to all that really mattered, my own heart. All of my abandon had left the poor thing in a sad state, atrophied. But if I am patient and use it a little more each day it will regain its once youthful bounce. It will be fit for giving...forgiving. Forgiving.




(I needed the white noise as well.)

sheesh, I hope everyone is ok.
I'm sure they won't risk the tour by going there if it's too dangerous (after Frank et al was in europe when the storm hit that music festival, he may be a bit nervous)

I always go by the central pressure if it drops below 1000 and keeps dropping thats not good.
We haven't really had any cyclones in our area for ages, but they say this summer may be a bad one

sdock that's the best idea, they can change course or alter their development.
just have a route planned and look at some places to stop over if you have to. or take stuff to sleep in the car, phones charged and all, bit of food and water
How far is it you're travelling?
It's so unlucky it's happening right now, I suppose Leathermouth would be watching it too, wonder how long they'll give it before they make an announcement

Well the thing is that if you guys are unable to travel to FL, I'll bet the bands won't be able to make it either. So if that was the case, you would at very least know that you weren't missing the show, and they would probably reschedule it.

Still, that really does suck if you guys can't go! >_<

Ergo, my parents had a cat that was sooooo sweet to everyone at the Vet, but on the way to the vet, she would claw, hiss, and have a huge screaming hairy cat fit. But when they crossed into the vet, she was the most docile, purring, lovable cat you would meet.

She was something else.

How did you Monday go? Uneventful? Full of bullshit? Pretty fast? Pretty slow? Mine was pretty low key for an after full moon Monday. It passed right on by me and I hardly noticed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bragging. I should have at least learned something new or stopped myself from doing something stupid or taught someone a new trick or made someone laugh.

Well, one out of 4 ain't bad. That's like 25%. Who am I kidding? I failed at Monday. Yep, I will have to try harder on Tuesday. Go for at least 75%. Not 50%, because that would just be half assed doing some shit!

So, I have a question for you. I have certain songs and musicians that make me turn into goo, liquid. Or maybe even like vapor. When I hear it, I want to be that song.

Do you have a song like that?

Sounds silly, but maybe you'll understand what I mean.

RW, we were in Columbus, OH during the chicken of doom incident. The show was supposed to be on Tuesday, and when we got there that afternoon, we heard they postponed the show until Wed. So we booked another night at the hotel. Then on Wednsday, the show was postponed until Thursday, so we booked another night at the hotel. Then on Thursday, we called the venue and got the news that they cancelled all together. Poor guys had tried to set up for three days, and they took Bob back to the hospital on Thursday, so they knew it wasn't going to happen.

We were disappointed, but not upset, except for the fact that Bob and some of the others were still so sick. I know they would much rather have felt well enough to play.

RICE is prolly the way to go, but I am an idiot. I don't know what I did to it. It started on Tuesday. At first I thought maybe it was when I had accidentally kicked Beautiful Boy in the elbow (and I was like "OMG I'M SO SORRY!!! and he was like "OMG IS YOUR FOOT OKAY!!!) but it seemed fine after that. Then on tuesday, I could hardly move it. Because I am an idiot, I trained on Wednesday and then went for a walk to the beach on thursday, and the walk really messed it up.

It's a weird pain. It's on the top of my foot and it grinds like sand when I bend it a certain way. O_o

I think the Toronto show was the second show they played after everyone got well enough to carry on with the tour.

RW, we missed The Black Parade part of the tour. The first time we saw them live was at the Atlanta PR show.

Apparantly, 10:30pm on a Monday is an ideal time to invite one's friends over and start playing music loudly, or so thinks my landlady's daughter.

I can't count the times I've complained to her in the past, telling her that I have to be up at 6am for work so could she please keep the noise down or take her party upstairs where the noise wouldn't carry so badly into my apartment, rather than carry on in the room directly above where I sleep.

i had floor at seattle (it was my first time in g.a.), and then had what seemed like the perfect seats at portland.

the best part was that about half my lj friends-list came from those two shows.



in fact, with the exception of you guys, i think all my friends right now come from meeting people in line at mcr shows.

The contract is going fine. I'm enjoying this new season at the opera now that the crazies have left.

The painting... has stalled. i did one coat of the colour I bought on the weekend, but I really don't like it so I'm going to put primer over it and get another colour.

I do really like it, but not for that room. I prefer my bedroom to be a more relaxing colour, I think. Red just isn't cutting it.

I'm going to get a tan colour or a light sage green, I think.

Isn't it funny when that hapens? I've had that too. I'll forget all about the dream then someone will say somehthing during the course of the day that jogs my memory and it will all come flooding back.

It's actually not very exciting, I'm afraid. I wore my costume to all three of the MCR shows I went to last year. My friend and I hung around by their bus after the PR show last August & Gerard and Frank came out. Gerard looked at my costume, said it was even better than his was, then rubbed the fabric of the sleeve cuff between his fingers & asked what it was made out of. End of story, I'm afraid!

And yeah, red for the bedroom? Not very soothing. The green sounds peaceful.

It was sage green to begin with, but needed a fresh coat of paint as it was chipped & had some drops of other coloured paint on it. So i decided to go with somehting completely different. So much for that idea!

maybe throw in some similar reddish pillows or a quilt cover with the two shades to tie them together

I have one of those long pill popper things for my cats, they are both good at tablets but I find it less fiddly.

Amy I agree, I have a steak chilli in the slow cooker and the whole house smells good


I haven't watched jay Leno for ages, they had him and Conan on earlier but now have the Daily Show and the Colbert report, those guys are clever but it's too hard to follow if you aren't american, I don't really know why they show them

mayo,

i don't know what happened. i faded out tonight. i lost my voice and spent the evening ectoplasmic. it's not supposed to be like that.

but today was an astonishing day. this morning, having just left the blog and still with my fingers crossed, i called my local temp agency -- just to cross them off my list, you understand. just to be thorough.

two hours later i was finishing up some paperwork down at their office, and an hour after that i was learning how to fill out claim forms, and how to work with new computer systems, and how to be the perfect voice on the other end of the phoneline.

i've got a new job. i'm going to be helping the people who will suffer damage from this storm which might be a hurricane, helping them submit their insurance claims.

for two weeks anyway. *grin*

this morning, my day consisted of reading another book, and maybe starting a new drawing today.

instead, the gods hauled round and chucked this job at me, knowing i would catch it. my day was spent in my office lady costume, trying to look competent and as if i understood everything they were explaining. i think i've almost caught up with the change. *grin*

have i ever mentioned that you never know what's going to happen tomorrow? yeah. you never really do.

maybe i'll get back to seattle in time for those concerts, after all.

J, these oreos are warm, so they're all gooey in the middle. Makes it much easier to twist them apart.

Thanks for the advice J. It's just because school starts soon, and I know I won't be back until at least by Thanksgiving. I wondered if he'll still be there by the time I come visit. I'm worried that he won't.

It's funny because I haven't thought of him in a long while now, and when I was on the computer, he unexpectedly popped into my head, and from there my mood turned a bit pensive.

I typically get to work around 9:30am, and work until 6:30pm-ish. Sometimes earlier or later, depending on what kind of work I need to get done.

A drink after work can definitely be nice, but you're right Amy, I would be an alcoholic if I tried to drink most days away. Sometimes drinks are *too* nice. :)

BC, I'm excited about your boy. I hope you talk to him. :)
