Elena, my Mum and Dad had a German Shepherd once that was terrified of storms. Once they had the glass up in the storm door, so only the screen was showing, and at the first loud thunderclap he jumped THROUGH the screen, ripping it off the door and would NOT move until it was over.

Greetings and salutations. So I have a few friends that go on the
internet a lot and told me there's some rumors flying about Leathermouth
and that I should go on and set the record straight with a little update.
The following is the truth as of July 25th 2008. Ok, so here it goes......
Leathermouth will be on tour this summer with Reggie and the full effect and
warship from Aug 20 to Sept 14. The only date on the tour Leathermouth will
not be playing is Sept 13th in Lancaster PA. Sorry to our Lancaster friends
but because of a scheduling conflict its just not possible, hopefully we can
play a show there in the future. The touring lineup of Leathermouth will be
as follows; Rob-guitar, Ed-guitar, John-bass, James-drums, Frank-vocals.
Also alternative press is doing a write up on Leathermouth in the upcoming
Sept issue that will hit news stands Aug 5th I believe.....They asked
questions, I answered, maybe the same questions you might have. The full interview will be posted soon. And last but not least the Leathermouth record.......(drumroll please)....
Will absolutely see the light of day this fall. I don't have a release date just yet,
however I can say that we've met with labels and are in the process of
signing with the one we are very very happy with, I won't say who just yet
because I don't want to count our chicken eggs before they crack open and
give birth to reptiles. If you've read the AP article you know that
Leathermouth's full length will not be released on Skeleton Crew
.......however a future S//C release is not out of the question. As far as
the full length is concerned, there will be 10 tracks on the full
length. The songs are as follows and in no particular order:
1. 5th period massacre
2. Sunsets are for muggings
3. Leviathan
4. Catch me if you can
5. I am going to kill the president of the united states of america
6. Murder was the case that they gave me

different people. I applaud your effort. However the only correct ones have

I ran across this today while rummaging through old posts.

With that, I started thinking about a lot of stuff around here, and about how much has changed or maybe hasn't changed. I remembered the countless times my sides ached when I walked away from this place, the times I felt rejuvinated by someone's words, and the times when I just didn't understand.
There's a whole shitload of stuff packed away on bookcases here, and sometimes all it takes to put things into a little bit more perspective is to crack open those books again, you know? To look at the pages with fresh eyes.
Some days I don't get what this place has become. Some days I wish I had never even heard of Mayo's. Some days I kick my own ass for ever having wished that.
Then there are nights like tonight when I wish it was still October of last year.
I don't understand a lot of things. I don't understand jealousy, hatred, naivety, ruthlessness, or love.
But, I do understand compassion, integrity, respect, friendship and the lack thereof, music, honor, and trust.
And there are just some things I can't help.

Anon, I gave them a chance because of Frank, but if you're asking me, personally if I'm a fan of the "genre" then I have to be honest and say that there's no "genre" of which I'm totally a fan. Err, I don't know all that many bands outside of MCR, TBS, The Used, 30STM and such. I really do live under a rock. I wouldn't even know what "hardcore screamo" sounded like.

so i just read that Gerard had his own table at the Eisner Awards. at the table were Gerard and Lindsey, Mikey and Alicia, but wtf were Jimmy Urine and Chantal doing there. i can't believe how deep Gerard has fallen in with his new friends. now i know why he looked like shit in the pics from Comic Con.

Ju has made fun of MCR and GW in from of his face while on stage. I don't think GW would see them making out it as embarrassing anymore.

Maybe JU was there, but I doubt very seriously that even he would behave so inappropriately at an awards ceremony where the most important and celebrated people in the comics industry would be in attendance. That kind of thing would be an embarrassment not only to Gerard, but to everyone involved with TUA - including Dark Horse.

I don't really see a movie being made out of it. Right now it is just talk. And from there you have to have some one right a script a good one. Plus the fact TUA isn't mainstream enough yet. It isn't a batman or x-men
Most stuff like that is in development for years. I was a Jr in high school when talk about an xmen movie. I graduated in 95.
Why would Frank care? I doubt they've even spoken since the tour ended. From everything I've seen and heard, they haven't been close for a while now.
It's becase Frank isn't the center of the discussion. Anyone can talk about what they like.

Frank porn is what they would rather talk about. Stop 'bashing' Gerard because the OPS know Mayo's secret identity.
There isn't as much money to be made in comics as you think. Unless the writer manages to get an amazing deal, he rarely even gets a percentage of movies, merch, etc.
TUA is only one very small limited series. It's not a huge franchise like X-Men or Iron Man. That kind of shit is way, way down the road if at all.
Besides, if Gerard really is acting this stupid he could jeopardize the future of the TUA.
I keep thinking about the live action EVA movie. The anime company that put that show out in the US put 10 million dollars into making that movie. And it will never be made.
even if ADV hadn't of gone bankrupt. That show was not well enough known for people to just go and see it. And in order to make it mainstream enough for non anime fans to see it you would have to piss off the anime fans.
Just look at it this way any time something gets a lot of buzz around it there people start talking about movies. But don't believe it until you are sitting there watching the movie.
You're absolutely right, Martha. Look how long it took Watchmen to be made into a film. That series started out in the mid-80's and it's practically legend in the comic world.
