Broad against the flat lined pulp.
Praised, and then repented
Until each has had its way

I am brittle and struck in two.
Gone, with a final blow,
The rubbed out remains defined
Ink lined creases on pristine stock.
Held against my flesh, my face

The letters unsealed, recycled

hi rw, how the hell are you tonight, i thought of you today. i was sat at the back garden and saw dickie across the lake having a fight with another dickie. i think the dickie wanted soem water but dickie didnt want him to go near his other dickies so dickie charged at dickie and tried to fight dickie but the other dickie ran off and went to find his own dickies to play with. it was nearly a dickie fight.

I agree with you Ep.I think what Mayo wrote was directed at someone(or a few)on the blog. I believe bits and pieces are taken from his/her personal lives and melded together. To me it sounds like he is annoyed at someone and or something

True again, this place just seems to contain a special aura though that I'm afraid will never be duplicated. But I suppose I should just appreciate it for now instead of already mourning a demise that hasn't taken place.
People don't talk to Mayo much anymore. There used to be some friendships brewing. Kapu always seemed to understand him and she wrote him good nights and poetry...... no longer. Lots of people don't even bother talking to Mayo any more. It makes me sad too.

Yes, I would like to get to know Mayo as a person and not some huge enigma, while understanding that aspect is a huge part of the appeal of the blog. It's a quandary.
The facade is wearing thin. How busy could Mayo be? A simple "Thank you for still reading." would make a good post. No reason to always be so... blanketed.

it's fine going back.I have taught/tutored so many years it's pretty easy. I rarely ever did lesson preparation apart from handouts and experiment prep, as I had my style and I knew my subject matter so well.
I actually prefer a structured workplace. If I'm left with no time frames I tend to procrastinate or get sidetracked too easily.
It's my worst habit, lol
This will be interesting as it's literacy and numeracy and the kids are already 13-14 so they often have behaviour issues too, but I only have 3 at a time.

Exactly my point. Can't Mayo tell us about favorite pizza toppings or voice an opinion on a current event? I'm not asking for personal details at all. Just let the damn guard down a little and talk to those who care enough to read Mayo, knowing its-mayonaise and not "someone else."

I too miss the early days of the blog, when Mayo seemed to like the Lovelies and he spoke directly to them. It was warmer. Now it's cold here.
Yes, I would appreciate a more "everyman" aspect to the posts, but I do feel he has tried. Remember the time he set the time and chatted? He has tried a bit to be more approachable, but I do think the amount of attention is sometimes overwhelming.

Why set up a time? It didn't used to be like that. He would pop in unannounced or talk to people directly in his posts. Check the time and good night. Does anyone remember that?

Too many new people could have something to do with it. Or people fighting over his attention. Mayo look at me look at me!!! You never talk to me anymore forget you! Maybe he's afraid of the two OBVIOUS divided groups on here. If he talks to someone he might upset the other group.
I think he might still enjoy the outlet, but I think he also feels quite the obligation to some here, and that might be somewhat of an onus.

We were just talking about this actually! About why Mayo seems to have given up on actually talking to people here. It use to be very.... sweet and yes very warm! It use to be very cozy! We don't read here as much as we use to. Some do but some of us have even left our group.
We decided to open a blog so there is no confusion. We are the original watchers who have been here since around October.
