Relative Aperture
A smashed glass cracked
in my last careless act
catching sight off guard.
Points sparkle a dappled dance
across the hardwood floor
spreading as the day grows
and peaking at midday
then rising full in the sky
for the time I hide away.
Until evening’s effulgence
slips through severed slats
catching sight by chance
announcing a worthy time
while bringing rust to rhyme.
From lyric baring branches
pick the last pack of matches
and set alight this balefire
for grieving my darkest desire.
(As we depart, we arrive.)
p.s. thoughtfully holding the line.

mustard it is actually believed medically (and proven) that the heart actually contains some nerve tissue similar to that of the brain and subsequently thought that the heart is actually capable of influencing the body, though the mechanism is under study and not at all understood. But there are a few documented cases of heart transplant recipients feeling emotions and memories associated with the donor

L, these knickers can stretch like you wouldn't believe. They could house everyone here with room to spare.

Good to know, Miss T. Now, if we can only get all of us to England before hand...
L.
I just want to say that I'm only hypothesizing here. I don't know. I've never felt " a love that was more than love," so I really have nothing to go on.
I just think that it's just something intriguing to think about.
sorry should say, proven the tissue exists but not the mechanism or whether or not it really does influence, but some evidence suggests so
But there are a few documented cases of heart transplant recipients feeling emotions and memories associated with the donor
Now that is some freaky stuff. I am a firm believer that your heart can make you do things that your mind is telling you may not be the best thing.
I don't think it's your heart that makes you do those things, just a different part of your mind.
If the love is truly from the heart and soul, it can't be destroyed. Not by the one who loves, or the one who is loved. It can be surpressed, pushed away, forgotten, and mangled, but it can't be completely destroyed.
one paper on cellular memory
Ergo:
I find that fascinating. I'd like to read up on that, because that's really kind of freaky. O_o
But, here's what I have problems with.
Your heart is an organ. It pumps blood, circulates oxygen, does everything we were tought in Biology.
How does the heart feel?
I use this saying a lot: "It hurts my heart." I do it because there's always a spot in my chest that's hurting when I think of something shitty, or if something bad happens, or if I'm hurting. But, it's not my actual heart that's hurting.
See what I'm saying? I have a hard time wrapping my head around it.
I agree Anon. 100%.
from that article
Aside from those included in the study, there are other transplant recipients whose stories are worth mentioning, such as Claire Sylvia, a woman who received a heart-lung transplant. In her book entitled, A Change of Heart: A Memoir, Ms. Sylvia describes her own journey from being a healthy, active dancer to becoming ill and eventually needing a heart transplant. After the operation, she reported peculiar changes like cravings for beer and chicken nuggets, neither of which she had a taste for prior to the transplant. She later discovered that these were favorites of her donor. She even learned that her donor had chicken nuggets in his jacket pocket when he died in a motorcycle accident.
I saw her interviewed along with the family of the donor on a documentary
Anon, what about death?
Can death destroy love?
Guys, I'm going to go for now, got to cook supper. It was great to talk to you, and one or both of us will probably be on later.
Love ya,
L.
Anon,
I also agree with that.
That is unreal, Ergo! Wow.
I'll be back after the love-in.
Bye for now.
Mustard,
I would think the love lives on, but that's just me thinkin'.
Bye L!
I don't think death can destroy love. No, not at all.
Man, I feel like a blind rat in a darkened maze here.
Just sayin'.
Bye RW!
Thank you, Smoke&Venom20. Thank you too, Ergoproxy, for that article.
Mustardisbetter, as for death,I don't know. I would like to say no, that it doesn't, but that is one more mystery that we may never know.
mustard that appears to be a combination of actual physical muscle contraction associated with adrenaline etc and learning that is how it is interpreted.
but the peripheral nerve network (ie not the brain and spinal cord) do appear to hole memory _ see phantonm limbs) and in lower organisms such as planarian s 9a flatworm) they can be trained, cut up and allowed to regenerate and each new animal retains the memory of the training and learns quicker than a wholly untrained cut up and regenerated planarian
I would like to believe that the love lives on, but is that just me being too romantic?
Why would the love die? I don't think it would.
I would like to say no, that it doesn't, but that is one more mystery that we may never know.
Very true! Unless we all meet up somewhere at some after hours coffee shop and talk this one out again, but on the other side. ;)
It's really cool to think about, so thanks for being patient with all of the questions.
See, I come from a science back ground, psychology and all that good stuff, and it's so hard for me to think about anything other than the brain being involved.
I guess I need to get out of that, huh?
You are welcome, Mustardisbetter. You should always ask questions. Never stop learning.
You're welcome, Anon!
Ergo, you are just full of all kinds of cool info, aren't you? ^_^
haha shit typing strikes again!
you're welcome anon it's an area I did some study in and am fascinated by.
(plus planarians are sooooo cute)
planarian
No, using your brain is good, Mustard. I should use my more often and less feeling.
I am more inclined to say that love would not die with death, as the soul lives on. One day, maybe we can all meet at that coffee shop.
Why would the love die? I don't think it would.
Here's what I was thinking. Say you have a couple who are "in love," right?
They both die. Where did the love go? Does it reside in them though each of them are dead?
I am more inclined to say that love would not die with death, as the soul lives on. One day, maybe we can all meet at that coffee shop.
Again, I agree. As far as the coffee shop, that'd be pretty damn cool, right?
Goodnight L, sweet dreams.
The Egyptians believed that because you feel your heart beat faster when you think of certain things, that that is where thoughts come from.
They didn't think the brain was important cos it held no feelings so they discarded it in mummification.
Hearts were seen as very important and if the real one was damaged, a fake one was wrapped with the body.
Man, the waitresses will look at us really funny when we all start ordering triple shots of espresso. O_O
I think the love lives on....Now, how can I explain this? I can't. But the love itself doesn't die.
thanks S&V I love it and I have that type of brain that retains stuff.
Oh you had helicopters before, I cannot hear one without running out to look, ever since I was a kid.We had a big chinook 2 rotor army chopper go over yesterday!
anon it's a shame we never know I'd like to believe so, unless we listen to John Edward!
You know there has to be a Starbucks on the other side!
Know what this calls for, right?
MAYO'S CLASS SCIENCE PROJECT!!!
You know there has to be a Starbucks on the other side!
Totally, but that shit better be free over there.
I'm off for a bath...I will ponder on all of this while I soak.
Guess this might explain some of my fascination with dying but not really dying just to see what happens...is there a place where we just hover and float between two worlds? Do our feelings cross over with us?
hmmm....
Oh you had helicopters before, I cannot hear one without running out to look, ever since I was a kid.
I totally did! ^_^
You know there has to be a Starbucks on the other side!
Maybe then I'd finally get to try some damn Starbucks!
Ergoproxy, I don't put too much stock into John Edwards. Not that the process can't be done, but by him.
Mustardisbetter, as long as you do not kill off one of us in love to do the science project!
or like the restauant in heaven at the end of Meaning Of Life!
now the whole love after death thing, I saw a Most Haunted (old episode) where teh ghost had been in love with Karl 600 yrs ago and still was, and they asked if he died would he be with her or his wife Yvette, and the ghost indicated her. That would be quite a quandry!
Ha, just realised L is going for supper and not to bed. Silly me.
Aw, Anon, I wouldn't do that! Funny though!
Smell ya later, Sdock!
See you later solly.
Glad to hear that, Mustardisbetter! And I believe the expresso would flow freely on the other side.
It has been interesting talking to all of you. You have given me much to think about as well. Thank you.
anon I agree re J E he's a bit of a showman! Plus there are techniques to glean info from people.
It comforts people but you wonder if it's really a good thing, like the disappaiontment if someone doesn't "come through"
Yeah, see that just proves the point. Well, I guess if you believe in spirits and ghosts and whatnot. Which I do.
They are still here for a reason, right? Like they haven't crossed over. Well, sometimes it's because of love. I totally believe that.
Weird. ^_^
Later, Anon! Thanks for making us think!
Hey Fim!
anon it is a really interesting discussion, thanks for bringing it up!
as long as the starbucks serves frappacinos I'm there!
I want to believe in love, but when can you believe in love when you doubt that you will ever be loved.
Fim, are you in my head. That is exactly how I feel about myself.
Hey Fimble Venoms!
Mustard and Fim,
You guys do not even know how awesome you are.
I ♥ you both and maybe one day you will be able to see your own awesomeness. ^_^
fim you will know it when you find it, and I really hope you find it, but it may not be how you expect and it isn't like you see on tv.
hey I was going to try and send you a voice message to your email, it'll be a number address and could possibly go to spam if your email filters it
Give it a while I'm heading into the gym now!
back later!
See you later Ergo.
It damn sure ain't nothing like on tv. (redneck speak)
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
Fim, why did you do that?
You know you've got at least two other people here right now thinking the same thing.
Hi everyone, I'm back for a little while.
My question is...can you be in love only once, lets say you believe that the one you love is your soul mate, and something happens to that person, can you ever be in love with someone else?
See you later, Ergo!
Welcome back, Sdock! You smell better. ;)
Hi solly, all scrubbed up I see.
Hey PJ!
I think there is room for lots of love in your heart. You love different people for different reasons and nobody can replace a love.
I don't think anyway. If that makes sense. O_o
pj,
Hmmm....I think it would be a different love....but you would love again.
Hey Guys,
I smell so good right now.
PJ:
I don't have a freakin' clue.
I would think there would always be comparison issues, but yeah, I guess you could be in love with more than one person.
I Think that you love every person in a different way.
Even if you have multiple siblings, you don't love them all the same. Not exactly the same.
So, there is an endless capacity for love.
MissT,
Exactly...an endless capacity.
I wuv you solly.
Yeah, I agree with that.
A neverending love.
*refraining from breaking out Annabelle Lee*
I always loved the cadence in that one. :)
Girls I see all that you are saying, but in my heart, i know i will never love like that.
And really i do not know if i ever want to love like that, i mean why even risk it, when you know, someday it will end up hurting you.
I guess you could say i have the best of both worlds, but i will not get that close to male or female, date yea, but not love.
Damn, my bum is numb tonight.
I wuv you too, MissT!
PJ, maybe if you just go along with being friends with people, after a while it will turn into love without you trying. It could surprise you.
Damn, my bum is numb tonight.
Oh, the days we discussed the numb bum, MissT. The days! ;)
PJ:
If memory serves me, I was challenged the same way a while back on here. But, this had to do with friendship, not really love. It does hurt. It hurts to get burned, but I guess it's something we all have to experience, right? That's part of what makes us who we are, I guess.
Dudes and dudettes, I gotta bail for a bit.
But, I'll be back later!
OK sorry, please do not look at me as a pity case, i am happy, content, little miss sunshine!
Let's talk about death, ghost, bunny rabbits, anything!
Oh, the days we discussed the numb bum, MissT. The days! ;)
Mustard, that really brought a smile to my face.
It made my cheeks flush. Even the ones on my face.
See you later sweetie.
I still wuv you solly.
It made my cheeks flush. Even the ones on my face.
0_0
I understand what you mean MT, Mustard.
I am not saying i give up on love, im just not ready.
PJ, Don't think about it and when you are ready you will know cos it will happen without you having to think about it.
Did that make sense?
Just dropping by for a quick hello. Hey everyone.
Hi BC, how are you sweetie?
Hi BC
Miss T, it did.
This soul mate thing drives me crazy sometimes.
Before i met him i did not think much about it, but we where so into each other, like we had spent all our life looking for each other, and when i found him, i just knew, he was mine.
That's beautiful PJ. I wish I could feel that one day.
Now! you see, how can you love after that?
As you know i did meet someone awhile back, and i liked him a lot, but i guess he did not know i was bi, and i thought everyone knew that little fact, but he was telling jokes and shit, and i kicked him to the curb so fast he still dose not know what happened.
Maybe in time PJ. When you stop worrying about if, you will.
You never know what will come in the future.
I think of it this way. If I had a pizza and thought, that was the best pizza I had ever had, should I stop eating pizza, thinking I will never have one as good again. Does it stop me enjoying other pizzas.
You naver know what new pizza creations they will make in the future and if I never had them, or had them thinking they could never be as good, I could be depriving myself of an even better pizza.
Keep the faith that one day you will still find a better pizza.
OMG, maybe I should take some medication.
Hi pj, miss T. How are you guys?
I'm good. At the moment I'm at the botanical garden taking pictures but getting ready to leave. I may post them later for pixie.
Take care everyone. Be back later.
I use to hide in the shadows and date men and look at the women, till i met him, the one i call my soul mate, he was bi as well, and taught me not to be ashamed of who i am.
Now i shine like a light bulb...lol
See you later BC. That was short and sweet.
PJ, you did right to get rid of that one.
Argh PJ, you are blinging me with your shining light.
Good for you girl.
Miss T, put it this way then....he was a big pizza!
They maybe better pizza, but none will be as good as that one....lol
Damn! you made me want pizza!
Keep the faith that one day you will still find a better pizza.
I am always holding out hope for that, Miss T!
It's all about the pizza!
Miss T, put it this way then....he was a big pizza!

opps!!!!!!
that did not sound right.
I mean real pizza!
LOL PJ and RW.
And how many times can I say pizza in one comment. That has to be a record for this blog, surely.
Hello all Miss t are you still here
RW, i wonder if SS will have that on his blog next.
That would be cool!
All about the frogs, bunnys, the love and the pizza!
Hi Martha, we are talking about pizza, do you like pizza?
Hi MJ, how are you?
Did you have a great time?
Opps forgot the geese!
Sorry SS
Hello Pj how are you ? Pizza, love isn't a strong enough word for how I feel about pizza
Mayo!
Now would be a good time to come out an play!
love isn't a strong enough word for how I feel about pizza
MJ, we were made for each other.
MJ, i hope you read all the comments about pizza before you wrote that...lol
Hello RW and miss t how are you?
I did have a great time. i wish I could have seen Lewis. I waited by the merchandise table but no luck.
it is so nice to talk to you miss t it's been a while.
RW, i wonder if SS will have that on his blog next.
I hope so, PJ!
Do you think he's a pizza fan?
Hullo, MJ! :D
Glad to hear you had a great time at the concert! And what a venue! I'm envious!!
I'm holding out hope that MCR will play a show or two in Canada this year. Or in England. I would consider going back to England to see them again.
OK i really want pizza, yes real pizza!
Catch you all later.
Blows kiss!
I had to do a lot of skimming. People in my family don't like to let me just sit back and read something. They always find something they need me for if they think I am not doing anything important on the computer.
It's so nice to talk to you too MJ.
It would be so cool if you and lewis had found each other. Those places get so crowded though, it's like trying to find a fart in a jacuzzi.
I'm so glad you had a good time.
How are the headaches sweetie?

Yea I do......BIG GRIN!

Red Dwarf quote alert!!
Funny thing about that place it is in a really bad part of town. In fact that part of town is where the crack head said he would knock GW out.
Later Pj
Bye, PJ! :)
Couldn't resist RW, it seemed approriate.
Enjoy the pizza PJ, see you later.
it's like trying to find a fart in a jacuzzi.
WTF. That is so random.
I have been headache free for two days.
That is so good MJ, long may it continue.
Funny thing about that place it is in a really bad part of town. In fact that part of town is where the crack head said he would knock GW out.
Tenderloin - I remember that :)
I wonder what kind of reaction he got this time?
I'm always down with the Red Dwarf quotes, Miss T :)
*winks at RW*
I know you are sweetie. Me and you both.
It's nice to have a fellow dwarfer here.
Thank you Miss t. RW I want to know if another bird attacked him. I was telling my friend about it. She hasn't seen LOTMS. I than remembered that the movie the birds was shot in the Bay area. I think that maybe why we have random bird attacks here.
That bird probably just saw G-Way's hair as something to nest in, and made a dive for it.
Actually that is something that happens often. It has been report on the news several times. They think the bird is protecting it's nest or something.
Hello are you guys still here?
And bikey where have you been?
It is 1am here so I am off to bed guys.
Have fun everyone.
MJ, it was lovely to see you again. I'm so happy you had a great time and you are headache free.
Goodnight everyone.
Goodnight Miss t
I hope to chat with you longer next time.
I will return must shower
Ergo
you made me smile for the first time today and i just want to say thank you. it was a very very nice surprise and i loved it. i have played it like, 20 times already hahahaha.
i wil try and do one back to you, but i havnt a clue what to say so once i figure out, i will get right onto that hahahaha.
if you want anything said, just tell me, i love what you said. alf would be so proud of you.
:)
I see this place has become a lobby for casual discussion and its old roots have disappeared.
oh fim! I just got home and there's your comment to me! I'm glad it came through ok. I only get mobile service in town so I was at the gym. Do I sound how you thought? I'm so glad you liked it!
Oh you can say anything you like, but maye something involving "mancy" lol
hello gel. how are you?
ergo, i totally will do. i will put my posh accent on then i will speak my native manc accent. hahaha you will cinge at me voice lol. you sounded great, i was listening and i dont know what a crow is? what does it mean?
the crow
just the black bird, we get heaps about and they get into rubbish etc so people throw stones at them to chase them off. Crows are also an AFL football team called Adelaide so it kind of refers to rivalry there too now
and I just looked this up origin of the phrase
I didn't know all that!
ignore the second link it didn't work
lol ergo, i know what a crow is hahaha. i thought it may have been a slang word or something. lol
I thought you would have,:)
I think "struth" came from "It's truth"
like "you're kidding!"
arhhhh now i get that one lol. i thought it may have been like 'omg i cant believe you'
Hey Mayonaise;
I've re-read your poem a few times. It's reminding me that I broke my sister's camera. I can't really comprehend this poem, as always, but I will try, as always. =]
I hope all is well in Mayonaise land. Yes, I have been worried, but I also have not. Why? Because you are a big boy Mr. Mayo, and I know that you can take care of yourself.
boy it's quiet today we have school hols so i can't laze about on the computer as much. Have to play more!
hi PH *HUG*
you know it made me think of you breaking the camera too!
I don't know this post makes me a bit uneasy, like it's a painful thing.
but then I'm never really sure of mayo.
Ergo, I've noticed that it has been quiet.
I'm going to practice my guitar. Practice makes perfect, right? Perfect.. which I shall never be!
Goodnight all!
<3
.can you be in love only once, lets say you believe that the one you love is your soul mate, and something happens to that person, can you ever be in love with someone else?
YES.
Am I the only one here who truly believes that it is all chemicals and survival instinct and that romantic “love” is a product?
I do really, really, really love ice cream though.
And Christopher Walken.
Will be back on later. ^_^
lol. Ergo!*HUG*
It makes me worried only because it just seems so dark. The camera really seems to be a metaphor for something, in my mind at least.
*sigh* I'm deathly tired, I did another 9 hour shift today! But my next check shall be good. =]
Goooodnight my friends!
xoxoxo

I watched your from across the room,
admiring your every move.
Did you wonder where the fire went?
It was all around you.
Now its more then bright,
it scorns, it scars, it incinerates.
Taking her with it,
dose it mean anything anymore?
Maybe just a memory to feed,
just to make it through the day.
It doesn't hurt that much,
not like fire.
xoxo

Hey! Tim Horton's is not only a viable franchise, but the man himself has already crossed over. There's enough East Coasters in heaven now that he's probably got a few opened up.

Ergo, yeah, the frozen ones.
I should know better than to eat frozen food. :P

Hey! Tim Horton's is not only a viable franchise, but the man himself has already crossed over. There's enough East Coasters in heaven now that he's probably got a few opened up.
Amen, sister!
Ice cream = love
Mayo,
How are you, my friend? Relaxed, warm, comfortable, loved, happy, and well, I hope. Me? I'm good. I had a rough week and am fighting off a headache, but I think things are about to get back to normal...whatever that means. Is that what I even need? To go back to the same thing? No, probably not, but....I'm still working on it. At least I can breathe and speak again...
So here's the thing...the daylight...that's when we come out, put on our best fake smiley face and pretend that everything is all good. We can fool ourselves and all around us. Everything is prettier in the daylight, but we have to be careful...not to play too close to the light. We can become transparent. Some might be able to see right through us. Sometimes people's perceptions of us get shattered by something we did. But we can smooth it over and make it look amazing, right?
Night....night comes and everything takes on a different look. Things that we try to put away during the day find us at night. A haunting, inspiring, bleeding, soul sucking, stomach turning experience....wide awake...we go over and over and over it in our heads. Seeing it, reading it, feeling it, writing it...And what do we want from all this? For it to be over? A second chance? To never hear it, see it, or feel it again? Perhaps...
And then, the sun comes up and it begins again.....
Mayo, I'm just spilling and spewing tonight. Just speaking from my gut. Hope you can make some sense out of it all.
Love to YOU Always,
S
p.s. Once and for all...
Time for my beauty sleep.
G'night, all! :)
Me too!
Nite, RW!
Nite, Mayo!
Nite, BlogBelievers!
Love you ALL BUNCHES!
Oh Solly, I just missed you!
I was thinking about this poem and stuff, and does anyone want to go on AIM to chat? ^_^
Goodnight, RW!
Goodnight, Sdock!
I hope you both sleep well. :)
Hello, Amy and Ergo and Jules and anyone else lurking about!
Lurk is right.

The worst thing about fire, ANY kind of fire, is that it can flare out of control, so very quickly. And once you set something alight, there's no getting it back.
However, as our anonymous friend pointed out earlier, love can't be burned away. It's the one exception to the rule.
Don't grieve, my brother. There is life after death, if only you believe.
I believe.
Do you?
love to you
J
Darling Mayonaise, who are you waiting for?
Goodnight, and sleep well.
-A
hi mustard kapunua L & J
how are you all
amy - it's a vewy vewy qwiet bwog, must be out hunting wabbits.....
btw cleaning the kitchen benches is oh so exhilarating...
wonder how TJ is. What time would it be in california?
Mayo:
See Sdock. She summed it up and wrapped that fucker in a pretty bow. I can't add anything or detract aside from the fact that it blows.
I'm being as honest as I can be here. I really, really hope you figure things out. I hope you get there before we do so you can give us pointers.
Goodnight, Mayo.
SS:
Um, MissT kinda thinks it should be about the pizza now. Funny analogy. Made me smile and made my cheeks flush.
Have a good night, buddy. We're always thinking about you even when you aren't here.
Goodnight, BlogBelieve. I hope tomorrow brings you joy and some serenity.
set alight this balefire
for grieving my darkest desire.
It's not a balefire for the darkest desire though, is it? The subject here is a verb, "grieving," huh? Are you saying goodbye to the grief instead?
That's what I meant earlier.
Hey Ergo! In CA it's about 7.45pm, so TJ's about ready to see the show! Cleaning the kitchen benches. Right up there with toenail talk. :)
J
thanks J
she said MCR go on at 9pm so she'll be getting pretty excited!
wonder if she came accross SC's daughter, you never know!
Hope she's having a ball too.
ah benches and now I get to hang out washing! Life is a never ending tapestry of delight!
lol it's a beautiful sunny day actually :)
Yay for sunshine! Thank Heaven the rain has kind of slacked off for you.
I think TJ's getting to see a concert in almost every state this spring! She's like a Dead-Head. What would you call the MCR fans, the "What"-Heads...
Ok, nobody go there, yeah, I can hear it.
J
Heya Carrie, what's up? *hugs*
J
Goodnight everyone
hi carrie!
J - there are so many possibilities there!
Night Mj, and hey ops, nothing much, just happened to be up and perusing the blogland. How's your bunny?
Hey ergo! If I win the lottery, your ass is coming to cook for me, for reals. Everytime you say what you're having for dinner, my mouth waters. You need a cooking show! Dinner with Aussie Ergo!
And I can't wait for you to hear Fim, she actually does sound really innocent, which makes it all the funnier when she says horrible horrible things!
Night Martha! *hugs*
Oh Ergo, I know, I almost walked into that one!
Carrie, Logan is doing better. His molting is slowing down, so he's not sneezing as much. L's been brushing him pretty often to keep the fuzz down. We're pretty much used to fur flying around here; my cats shed all the time, even though they're both short-haired. It's not an average day unless you find some kind of fur somewhere!
J
goodnight MJ sweet dreams, adn sdock and mustard from earlier
ooops the anon was me
carrie I can't wait finding out I could do that is so cool!
I bet she sounds lovely.
haha I'd love a cooking show but I don't know if I'm that good! But I do love it, tonight it's either a creamy chicken pasta or an african spiced lamb (it's a spice mix stuff but looks yummy)
Glad to hear your sneezy bunny is doing better. I hate the molty season. I have a couple cats and I just *love* to see the fur fly everytime they scratch themselves.
Ergo, I have actually never had lamb. What meat is it comparable to?
Yeah, Carrie, the best part is when BOTH bunnies molt at the same time! One is white and the other's gray-brown, so there's multi-colored fur all over the place. Plus my one cat, who's black, and the other, who's a dark gray, kind of like steel. We have an earth-tone rainbow of fur!
J
Oh man, I will shut up then! We only have two cats, but they still shed more than I would like.
ooh lamb is pretty much like lamb, it's not as strong as beef but has more flavour than pork. I really like it, it does have a taste of it's own and it's nicest slightly undercooked (pink in the middle) as if you cook it through it can dry out and goes chewier.
There is mutton as well which is from an older animal, stronger taste and best casseroled or slow cooked.
I tend to eat beef and lamb medium, it has more flavour and is more tender, but sometimes people don't like the fact it is juicy.
Best idea is to cook it then let it rest adn the juice travels back into the meat instead of coming out when you cut it.
and we'll be back to Cooking With Aussie Ergo after a few short messages from our sponsors....
Oh, and Mustard, way after the fact, and not an esoteric answer or anything, but love leaves a tangible effect. As in the children. Bob and Judie, they are both dead now, so yeah, I guess you could argue that their love is dead too, but their children, and my husband and I are still discussing the great love they had for each other. So, I think their love is still "alive." Plus, I'm typing at their old writing desk, which I think is really cool. Sorry, all rambley tonight.
I have gathered from almost every cooking show out there that I overcook my meat!!
Girls, I think I'm gonna head off to bed a little early. My eyes are tired, and I think I'm getting another sinus thingy. It was great seeing you both, Ergo and Carrie! *hugs you both*
Goodnight BlogBelieve! See you later.
J
Goodnight J!
Mayo,
As you commune with your demons, and watch your balefire burn, remember that you are good, brave, and noble.
Keep believing.
J
oh goodnight J look after yourself!
sweet dreams to you and your little furry friends
carrie I used to then tried it a bit less each time and understood what they meant :)
You should try lamb it's really yummy, nice cuts are the cutlets or leg steaks plus I must say lamb fat cooked so it's a bit crispy is on a par with pork crackling!
Makes fantastic curries too
SS my precious,
Look up. Do you see it? It's there, for you.
love you always
J
You know what? I think I'm going to do something I have never ever done. I think I will post a goodnight to Mayo. I would love to say that you are full of shit, but hey, I'm still typing words in this box so you've got something going. I'm just not sure what. I am old, and not of the bloggy generation, so this stuff feels really weird to me. I like this little microcosm you've generated, I find it fascinating. 20 years ago, maybe I would have actually gone to grad school and tried to base a thesis on this. I love the fact that I've *met* so many people that I otherwise never would have, it's like total six degrees of separation in action for reals. And I've discovered a lot of really cool music that probably would have slipped under my radar too, but wait, that wasn't you, that was the other people here. See, that's what cracks me the fuck up. It isn't YOU, whoever the hell you are, it's the people here that mean the most to me. I don't mean to insult you by that, but frankly, you're kind of standoffish and I still don't understand where the fuck you're coming from. I can admire the artistry, the poetry, the talent, but dayum, I still don't get it. Everytime I think I might even start to understand, you slip away again. I guess, whoever you are, I appreciate you continuing to play the game, and give us a place to post and catch up with our friends. Yeah, we could all make new blogs and shit, but frankly, it would be a pain in the ass. So, goodnight, Mayo, sleep well, and thanks, from the person who never posts a goodnight.
Hello Mayo, SS, Ergo, Carrie, J (darn it, I just missed you), Martha, anons, those who lurk!
How are you all tonight? Good, I hope!
Carrie: Great to see you back! I was wondering where the heck you've been.
Mayo: It's lovely to 'see' you again. We were getting quite concerned. Thank you for the new post!
For some strange reason, it reminded me of this one:
So Now?
by Charles Bukowski
the words have come and gone,
I sit ill.
the phone rings, the cats sleep.
Linda vacuums.
I am waiting to live,
waiting to die.
I wish I could ring in some bravery.
it's a lousy fix
but the tree outside doesn't know:
I watch it moving with the wind
in the late afternoon sun.
there's nothing to declare here,
just a waiting.
each faces it alone.
Oh, I was once young,
Oh, I was once unbelievably
young!
Hmmm......probably just me, though!
I hope everyone had a great weekend.
Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~

By the way, I agree COMPLETELY with this anonymous comment:

If the love is truly from the heart and soul, it can't be destroyed. Not by the one who loves, or the one who is loved. It can be surpressed, pushed away, forgotten, and mangled, but it can't be completely destroyed.
NOPE, NEVER!
And Mustard: I agree with Carrie and others. I don't think even death, itself, can destroy love.
Love lives on......
I know I still love all those I have lost to death; and, I still feel their love - every second of every day!
ERGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*huge smoooooch*
How are you? Did you have a nice weekend?
Goodnight, Carrie!
Hi sugarplum, how are you? Hi ergo *waves*

I'm okay, sweetcheeks; thanks for asking! I'm just a little 'worn out' from the weekend with my very energetic nephew :))
hiya BC! how are you how were the botanic gardens?
wendy I did thanks! Caught some little fish for the dam, didn't fall in - gotta be good!
Hows your weekend been?
S(S)S, I hope, and just know, that you are out there doing what you do best and people are loving you up for it. You deserve it. ^_^ Thank you for all your kindness, humor and friendship.
Mayo, so everyone and their brother has told me to read Wheel Of Time and I have not yet.
Now whether you were referencing this, or a funeral pyre, or a regular old fun bonfire, either way, this makes a lot of crazy sense to me.
I lit mine years ago, but in a good way, in the best way. ^_^
Good night to you Mayo, thank you for the post and I hope you can come and talk some time.
Good night BlogBelieve.
