My heart is a vacuum
and in it a prickly pear.
It is nothing that I swallowed,
it was you who put it there.
In absence of sunlight
it grows and bares flesh
while spines follow limbs
to a fine found filament
of sugar frosted fingers
for my grip almost spent.
It purges heat and a punch
then I swallow it back,
that prickly pear
perhaps, I did put it there.
p.s. it really wasn't as grand as I thought it would be.

Okay, so you're sharp. I hope it's a good kind of sharp. Me? I'm not feeling very sharp tonight. I like sharp things though. I like them a fucking lot. But that's probably so not what you're talking about and the more I go on and on about it makes me seem a little more weird and unstable than what I am. Yeah, whatever that means.
Myself? I like to slice right through. Again and again and again...until there is nothing left. Then, I can't remember what it was I was looking for in the first place. Oh yes, the truth, the illusion of truth. I spent all that time searching and cutting through looking for something that doesn't exist.
But in my search, I end up feeling more alive than I have ever felt. So, I keep looking.

I have trouble getting to sleep, then anything wakes me up, then I have a panic attack. lol
But this happens to me every so often, it'll pass, no need to worry! :)
my mum gets panic attacks, they aren't very nice, I get night terrors, rarely now but I did at your age cupcake
I know what you mean about P<3, but she's strong.
As for things I've tried... I don't even remember! but it's physiological rather than psychological with me apparently. I've had attacks since I was 5.

Well than I have sympathy for you and your Mother then Ergo, it really is awful. I remember when I was little I used to think I was dying, before I understood.
I always feel really sick when it happens.
cupcake- a free badge!!!! That's great :) Do you try music to help relax you? I used to listen to the cocteau twins before bed each night. Also a bath can help. About the attacks, I agree with L about the breathing. If I wake up too early, I try imaginging myself flying and that helps put me right back out. I do have trouble falling asleep, so I've tried lots of things. Good luck!
OP-L - I've been fine taking care of kids - bike riding and playing games out of doors now. My niece is sick, though, and we're doing one more course of the same treatment. If it doesn't work she'll be hospitalized the doctor says, which is scary. So we try our best. It is very worrying, though. How are you doing? How are OP-J and Shaunette and your bunnies? :)
apparently you are in deep sleep too long so your body floods in adrenaline to wake you up but it creates the feeling of fear, but no dream to go with it, they suck but they ease as you get older, my brother had them too, lots of little kids get them and often you don't wake up just cry out.
or if you look awake you aren't.
My mum gets panics badly, she's left stores and things, but again eased as she aged

I do try music on occasion, Miranth, sometimes a film I like, or I'll try reading.
For me, it all depends on how bad i've let it get.
If I can't stop it quickly it tends to get worse.
The other morning I woke up and panicked for four and a half hours, just waves of nausea and adrenaline till I was so tired I just fell asleep again.
