I am at work. I share an office with a young (25) woman who runs her mouth constantly on the phone and to other co-workers.
Every Monday, I get to hear the latest person she knows that either got stabbed, shot, robbed, or killed.
She is living in subsidized housing with her 16-month-old daughter and her illegal alien boyfriend. Talks to her buddies about the "school" her baby is going to and how the "school" supplies all the diapers, formula, food, everything...
When we got paid last week, she looked at her check and said, "I hate the government". Oh, Hell, no, I couldn't let that one go! The child really did not understand where all her taxes were going!
All I could think about was when I had my baby, alone, and I was denied assistance because my annual salary was too high. Yeah, by $1500!
So, yeah, I might have to agree with her - I hate the fucking government too!

It's frighteningly easy where I live to leave school early, pop out a couple of kids and let the government pay, but then I do have some pride!!
My cousin does that. Her boyfriend makes money which he gives to her other girlfriend. They go from house to house, getting evicted from each one (you get a grace period so they can "settle down" for a few months.) ANd every few years she squeezes out another kid. She's 32, not some kid who doesn't know any better. This is how she gets by, how she makes a living. I love her, but I don't like her. And I wish like hell she'd get spayed.

Well, I think I see what's going on here, though I'm not sure I understand it.
First of all, I don't believe any anon who comes on here saying, "I've lurked from the beginning, but I'm only coming out now to call you names and be rude to everyone." That's crap.
I just don't get the motivation. We have something good here. Even Mayo, who originally came out in full snark with both middle fingers up (which we pretty much did, too,) sees that now. Something really unusual has gone on in this forum; it's a good thing. Most of us want to hold onto it. Mayo, you may not know it, but so many of us are just holding our breath, waiting for the day you end this all. We don't want that to happen, but you know, I think maybe we should also put more trust in you. Not pressure, but trust. This is, after all, your journal. Where it goes is, and should be, up to you. It's just, we like it here, and we like you. I guess.
With the vultures, I'm sure they must see that we have something good here. I just don't get why they think they need to come in and screw it up. It's not like it's perfect or anything; I mean we've all made missteps with each other, Mayo too, but that stuff is kinda small and usually gets forgotten.
I see that people are trying to upset the balance, call us out, maybe even make this end by turning it into something rotten. If it goes sour, if we all start questioning each other, playing the "OMG you were that mean anon, weren't you?!!!" game, it's going to ruin everything. There's no question that the specialness will be gone, and I think those are the seeds these mean anons are trying to plant.
I just don't get why. Only thing I can imagine is that they're the same kind of people who would kick over the sandcastle that you worked on for hours and then kick the dirt into your face afterwards. You know the kind.

I cannot be sure, but possibly things may become a bit rough in the next days until the new year and I think if something like this happens again, I think we should take care and support each other and hold each other's hands and not allow the anons to break our friendships apart.

So in other words you evaded the question because you know Gerard (or you want ppl to think you do because you know that is how your comment will be interpreted) otherwise you would have just said you didn't know him. What makes you so special you think ppl would pretend to be you? Oh that's right you are Gerard's BFF. FYI we once actually were visited by someone who knew Gerard before he was famous and he just said what he had to say and left. I have no doubt in my mind he was genuine. I suspect you are a regular seeking attention and that really pisses me off. I understand I look like the bad guy here and you are all defending Bikey, but I have a feeling Mayo's next post will shed some light on this...in more ways than one.
